Today my little Darlin' had puppies....ten of them! Aren't they cute! They all look alike too, so we have no idea how we'll tell them apart!

Here they are with Mom, they're not even a day old yet :)

Long night ahead of us :) As if I could even put my 4 year old daughter to bed, the poor thing can't sleep when she here's the little pups all night. Might as well pull up a sleeping bag myself!

Or Perhaps a good time to work on the tedious parts of my sites :)

They are precious! Wish I could have a dog but it just wouldn't work.

And Valerie, check your email.

Valerie,
My neighbors little chocolate lab had 12 pups recently. They bought 12 different collars and named them according to the decor/color of said collars. Like Bones, Rusty, Princess, ect. Might work for you as well. Good luck and have fun! :)

Awwwwwwwww...Mrs. Beachy says they are adorable! I definitely concur. :)

Somehow I think you'll be learning their names and identifying their individuality in short order. Good luck with getting them up and on their way and finding them good homes. Will you be keeping any? :dog:

Thanks everyone! They really are soooo cute. Not too much work as of yet, they did keep us up pretty late last night, but I'm sure the work will grow as they get bigger. We won't be keeping them all, and I guess we can't offer them to other families untill they're 8 weeks old, so Hubby's setting up a more permanant structure in the Garage for them. (which we'll be keeping heated of course :)

Here are some more pictures I took this afternoon. They still haven't opened their eyes yet (anyone know when that happens?)

Here is Moses (there were 10 of them remember!)

And here is the rest of the Isrealites

If you're interested I put their entire birth story up on my blog

One of them almost didn't make it, so it's an interesting story :)

I can't wait till they big enough to see their personalities......

My dog is a stray, mutt but we believe she is a Rottwiller Heeler mix (at least that's what the Pet Store people said) She's a medium sized dog, and is really interested in ordering people and other animals around with her nose! Like a cow dog or something. They said Rot because of the color, but she's really not that muscly or anything. Anyone got a clue what she might be?

The neighbors dog is a mutt with a bit of Pitt mix, who was black with white belly, and paws (like a tux) and all of the puppies are the spittin image of him, so we're pretty sure he's the culprit.

I believe it'll be hard to find Good homes for them because of the Pitt mix, people get a little stand offish, or aren't so nice to them so we'll probably start looking for takers soon!

My daughter is already asking to keep some, or "Just one!" so perhaps we'll have a little Moses puppy to stay, we'll see what Daddy thinks :)

Well...

Since you can't claim alimony, or palimony, from your neighbors dog, maybe you can claim doggylimony!

I don't know if that word exist yet, but it may bring some interesting results on the "Lazy Thursdays" blog.

It will take about 2-3 weeks before the puppies will open their eyes. They will crawl around on their belly until their eyes are open, and start toddling once they can see where they are going .. Each puppy is different so some may take longer than others, especially the runt.

Best of luck .. I love puppies!!!

Wow! Those puppies really are adorable. How cute. :)

My brother who moved to New Zealand during autumn last year, just adopted an American Staffordshire Terrier. Can't wait to see her in person.

Oh they are so cute!
You might love this You Tube video.
The puppies are shy until mommy comes, then they get brave. When she leaves they get scared and shy again. :)

What a bunch of adorable "oopses!"

I'd agree with the heeler mix part, but maybe dobe, not rott?

Pit mixes are tough to place due to bsl and ignorance about how wonderful they can be!

Make sure the folks who take your puppies are required to spay and neuter!
