My nomination goes to Carolyn Tang of ShareASale!

Although I hate using the word "Tool" to describe her....

LOLLL, thanks Missy, THIS is what you do when you leave on vacation? :) Honored, again, to be nominated as a tool :)

Assuming that people actually do not qualify as tools, at least as far as this award category is concerned, then I will nominate

POPSHOPS

This innovative and ever-evolving "Tool" has opened new vistas to many of us who are not sophisticated enough in coding to otherwise make good use of datafeeds, and allow us not only to integrate atttractive and productive dispays into our sites, but also to take advantage of merchants who do have individual product links available.

Oh, Missy beat me to it. Ah, well, I nominated Carolyn for Best Tool last year so it's time for someone else to nominate her. She's got my vote.

The good thing about nominating is that you get to mention all the great people, companies and cool stuff out there. CayolynTang.com and PopShops.com are among my favorites.

My buddies at AvantLink.com are always pushing the envelope on useable affiliate tools. My favorites are Affiliate Link Encoder lets bloggers, forum owners (or any affiliate) get tracked by using direct links and their Video Ad Tool.

Wordpress self-hosted (wordpress.org) combined with some cool plugins (like PopShops for WP.)

From my own usability standpoint, I might have to go with WordPress (download version) at home and Twitter on the road. :)

PopShops is a cool tool, and I use do us it. However, I have more installations of WordPress than PopShops. WordPress has allowed me to create, maintain, and update several complete niche sites - with almost zero coding work.

There are so many tools I discovered in 2007. I'd have to say that the one that wow'd me the most (although it still needs refining) is Popshops.

I remember thinking how I wish I had Popshops when I was adding Halloween costumes to my first affiliate site... I had spent hours trying to do it with the SAS tools. I could have done the same thing in a fraction of the time with Popshops.

Yeah, I guess I'd have to say Popshops too even there are days when I want to drop kick it. It has to be the tool with the greatest potential that's come out in the past few years (that I know of). A year ago I probably would have said GoldenCAN, but GC has gotten stale, even though I will continue to use them for larger merchant feeds (their categorization is just still much better) Popshops has already greatly exceeded the number of merchants than in GC and has continued to make their tool better. Hopefully there will be a little more competition between the two of them which just means that we all win.

Wordpress.org doesn't allow affiliate linking, so would not be a good "affiliate" tool, unless they changed something recently.

loxly,
it is the wordpress.com that doesn't allow affiliate links. Wordpress.org has the downloadable version that we can install on our hosting accounts. I admit that Wordpress has also saved me time despite its limitations.

I also think Affiliate Summit is one of the greatest tools we have, and Facebook is getting up there. Once we can figure out how to actually optimize this for more than just gifting each other images of drinks and hearts, of course :winking: (or we can just figure out how to get virtually drunk - that works too)
