I'm very pleased to announce the launch of the Eventbrite Affiliate Program.

For those of you who may not have heard of Eventbrite, we are the largest provider of online event registration and ticketing services.

Our event holders are individuals, organizations and companies of all shapes and sizes. Our customers include Federated Media, Seth Godin and the Peace Corps, to name just a few. The scope of events hosted on Eventbrite runs the gamut from small gatherings of just a few people to large conferences with thousands of attendees. We have psychic seminars and Jewish Speed Dating. We have Salsa getaways and infant CPR classes. If you can imagine it, there's probably somebody selling tickets for it on Eventbrite -- :yellowsmi

Here's some more eye-opening information:

The "small" events market is projected to reach $50 billion by the end of 2009, with only 2% currently collected online.

Given the advent of social networking, blogging and Web 2.0 forces, the individual and small organization is enjoying unprecedented power to aggregate audiences online. And there is a strong desire to monetize and derive business models from social networking activity.

Eventbrite gives ANYONE (you, your uncle, your grandmother, the guy who mutters to himself in the food court at the mall...) ANYONE the power to become an event holder and to start selling tickets online -- in about 5 minutes.

What this means for you, our prospective affiliate, is the opportunity to tap into a revenue stream that is only beginning to show its ultimate size. And because we are a long-tail business, there's plenty of room to be creative and promote Eventbrite's core services in an almost unlimited number of ways!

PAYOUT: For your efforts, we are very pleased to offer a 35% share of all fee revenue generated by users you refer to our service. Thus, your revenue potential as an Eventbrite affiliate is a function of 1) the number of users you refer, 2) the number of events they publish, and 3) the number and value of the tickets they sell -- :cheerful: -- and we'll be paying out recurring revenue for a full year -- :approval:

I'd like to invite all of you to join the Eventbrite Affiliate Program and to share in our success.

Please feel free to contact me for any reason: http://www.eventbrite.com/img/screenshot/jack.gif

Jack

I used EventBrite for the Gospel Brunch at Affiliate Summit West... earned some referral money when Brook Schaaf used it for the Affiliate Dinner.

It's a really well conceived service and I definitely recommend it.

I plan on using it for our CAMA event in Boston at Summit East as well.

Keep up the great work guys.

I wanted to thank the nice folks at GigaOM for choosing Eventbrite as their registration partner for their upcoming Structure 08 Conference. GigaOm's Structure Conferences have become the definitive, must-attend events in the Internet infrastructure space. Anyone with an interest in emerging Web infrastructure technologies and companies should make an effort to attend Structure 08 in San Francisco.

Affiliates interested in promoting this event should drop me a line: http://www.eventbrite.com/img/screenshot/jack.gif

Do, y'all have any banners? I didn't see any in the affiliate area. Ideally, if you have something good for a blog sidebar that would be wonderful.

Sure do, Sally. Here's one that many of our blogger affiliates have been doing very well with:

You've gotta be kidding me! First you get banned for running up your post count with one three word posts, I then reactivate you. You buy an ad and drop keyword stuffed links for your clients, but then ... the best part ... you get Sally (same IP as you) to bump so you can link to your forum. I think your as transparent as they get!

You are banned, so is your alter ego "Sally" and your links removed as well, I'll just rename the thread for my own SEO purposes.

Not a great decision guys... linking to outside forums is a no no here. Can't blame Haiko for the smackdown

Great service, just need to learn the ABW ropes.

He had more than one "chance", he was already banned for misbehaving and as Haiko said, let back in. He chose not to learn the ropes and chose to spam instead.
