Never am quite sure if I do these links right or not...think I did.....umm if not I'll go find Trust and get his help. lol :) A friend of mine sent me a couple of photos of this. Tryin to figure out how to get photo from an email in here seemed harder than inserting a link lol so found this on youtube.
Don't know if you guys have seen it before or not...... It's a rare and fascinating flower....won't bore ya to death with the details but realy fascinating.:) Least to me. lol I want one:) but ya can't have any and according to articles about it you'll go to jail in Thailand for trying to illegally buy the seeds. That is gorgeous! No matter how hard we try, we could never duplicate good old Mother Nature.

it's a gorgeous flower! thanks for introducing it to us.
reminds me of pink lady slippers. well at least how pretty they are. growing up, i was obsessed with these flowers. we weren't allowed to pick them but didn't stop me. :) i couldn't help it, they grew in my backyard. plus i was only 6. not an excuse, just a reason.
cheers.

THAT is soooooooo amazing! It's so unique it's hard to believe it isn't doctored somehow to look like a parrot. But of course, it isn't. Is it??? :smiling:
I have a few unique nature shots. I'll see if I'm allowed, or can figure out how, to post them in a thread under this photography topic.
Thanks for sharing this one! I love it.

Nice one! I remember I touched once a flower like this one and became scared because I began to make some noise! I was still small, about 10 years old so I got curious about it.
It took me about 10 sec to understand that there was a bee inside the flower! :)
