We are a well-backed Internet services firm (deliberately vague as we have not launched our yet) that is looking for an affiliate manager to be a key contributor to the growth of our company. The company is located in NY, but we are willing to hire someone that would work remotely, if they are a proven performer. The salary and bonus will be competitive in the industry and commensurate with the years of experience of the candidate.

An AM with 2+ years of experience managing aggressive/high maintenance affiliates that are used to making $20 plus per sale would be helpful.

After reading more posts, I am adding some more details about the job.

* The compensation would consist of a comfortable base salary and a bonus based on performance.
* An ideal candidate would have a both a sales and project management orientation.
* Some knowledge of HTML would come in handy
* A marketing/business or a business-focused IT educational background would be ideal
* We are willing to help develop the affiliate manager, so as long as the person has at least 1-2 years of experience that should be suffcient
* The most important attribute that will a person successful in this role is motivation
