To maximize the emphasis on local issues while not losing sight of the big picture I'd like to propose the following structure base for the AffiliateVoice.

Each country, State and locality sets up local meeting groups (similar to the existing groups like RMAMA, BAaMC, COMA, etc) then they post back highlights of each local meeting as well as views and positions on larger and broader based issues.

Thoughts?

Who wants to help organize the local AffiliateVoice for their State, Locality or Country? Rememer, this is a team effort.

Beachy, Adam and I have had fun so far with MAAMA - Mid-Atlantc Affiliate Marketers Association. We're not "official," but I am more than happy to organize quarterly meetings in the area, etc.

I have no problem sharing an Agenda or highlights with everyone here.

I think Mel and I are on it for New York. We actually mused about this today.

I have no problem sharing an Agenda or highlights with everyone here. The fun has been a couple of social and networking gatherings in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. (Always with great deserts. :icecream: :cake: )

We had also been talking this over with Geno and figured we may get something (more) organized when he returns to the states. I have already acquired www.MAAMA.us - as a holding page until/unless something better turns up. :) Quarterly (or so) meetings/gatherings somewhere in the area could definitely be in the works...for discussion, education, developing a "voice," and more.

I am sure there are some other members in the USVI/PR area? How do we find the rest of the members - or do we tag along with some bigger group?

We can organize from here in Central Arkansas, which might be a mid-point for AR, MS, MO, TN and even East TX until there are sufficient numbers to break out.

I know that there are a number of folks in the Carolinas, but to my knowledge there have never been 2 in the same room at the same time........(A somewhat unsociable group)

I would be willing to get involved.

Actually, I am closer to the NVA area than I am to some of the Carolina cities

I'm <this close> to publishing my Big Book of Spam, so I can't promise anything right now, but I'll see what I can do about putting together something for Albuquerque/Santa Fe and surrounding areas.

OK this is starting to take shape, I'm happy with the response so far and hope to move this along progressively. Next week I'll identify the local small groups and their point of contact so that localized meetings can take place in addition to the conference calls and postings here on the board.

Helpingmoms, I've chatted briefly with Kristin a couple months ago, I think we've got the 'great lakes area' as a coalition. Since we're all so close in economic and geographic issues it just made sense to me to work together. I sort of look at glimpa.com as being Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and maybe Pennsylvania. (aka the rust belt, but rustbeltaffiliates.com didn't sound good;) PM me and I'll bring you up to speed. Actually, anyone in this region feel free to pm me.)

I would be happy to take all mountain states until someone shows interest individually. How about Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. We can coordinate via RMAMA where I am the VP.
