It's nip tuck time at Hocks and next week our site will have a whole new look!
(pause for thunderous applause)

We're very excited to be bringing this new look to you. You can expect increased conversions and lowered page abandonment as the new site will ease consumer navigation and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Since the site is not yet live, you can see a demo screen shot below which will give you an idea of some of the changes that are coming.

All product url's will be changing but will redirect. So your current links will continue work, but we recommend grabbing the new datafeed once the site is live just to keep things current.

I'll be keeping you updated with any changes and announcements as the site launch date nears!

When you get it together, make new banners ... the old ones are weak.
You got to tell people what you want them to do on the banners.

Example: "If You Don't Want To FEEL Like You Have Been Run Over By An Abrahams Tank, Then Buy 'PAIN BE GONE' Today. Click Here To Discover
'PAIN BE GONE' And Get 20% Off With FREE Shipping.

Plus, try to get it so the path to the check out is no more than two clicks from the category page, and one click from the product info.

Here's some copy for a killer CTR banner:

'If You Are Going To San Francisco, Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair And Try Ken Kesey's 'Electric Cool-Aid Asset Test.' Discover Why Thousands Of People Prefer The Kesey Stuff To The Timothy Leary Stuff. Be Sure To Read The Testimonials From The CIA. BUY Yours Now Before The Merry Prankster's Use It All Themselves. Click Here.'

Okay ... guess the product ... but the product dosen't matter, the sturcture is what matters ... and if you don't believe me, Gary B, who makes $10 million a year writing copy says so and has tested it over and over and over - it's your people do not click on your banners.

Thanks Druid!

You make an excellent point. The merchant banners will be updated once the new site is launched to match the look and feel of the new site. Per your suggestion, I'll also expand it to include some more call to action creatives as well.

The check out process is another part of the site that is getting an overhaul. It will be more streamlined from the current process. However, I haven't seen the final demo yet, so I can't say for certain how many clicks off the product page the final payment page is but it is simplified from the current system.
