I am happy to annouce that CSN Stores has opened up shipments to our neighbors to the north, Canada! We launched this a few months back, and have been refining the process ever since. There is a nice little article on boston dot com today about our expansion into the canadian market.


Story:

CSN Stores LLC, a Boston online retailer of home furnishings and housewares, said today that it is now ready to offer Canadian consumers access to its more than 200 "e-boutiques," which are stocked with "branded products ranging from bar stools to bedroom sets and greenhouses to game chairs."

The company said it was responding to demand from Canadian consumers.

Retail websites under the CSN Stores umbrella include AllModern.com, Cookware.com, and BedroomFurniture.com, among others, the company said.

"We believe Canadian consumers have been underserved by their online shopping options," company chief executive and cofounder Niraj Shah said in a statement. "But now we can give Canadians the same wide selection of products, well-trained customer service counselors and savings opportunities that our US customers enjoy."

Nope, we are serving the same sites, with the same products in Canada as we do in the states. So you are good to go. I will let you know if this ever changes.

This is such a huge step in the right direction. With the American economy facing uncertain times w/ less per capita disposable income, it is imperative that USA based retailers ship to whoever wants to buy (taking into account credit fraud risk and increased shipping costs.) I think CSN and its affiliate partners will see great rewards from this international thinking. Congratulations!

I like the way that you handle Canada in the shipping page. Any chance of seeing a Canadian filtered version of the site? (Instead of having to shop around looking for items that can be shipped to Canada).

I couldn't agree with you more. Besides the hundreds of calls a week we get from Canadian residents asking us to ship to Canada, the struggling U.S. economy made our final decision for us. CSN is only 6 years old. We are still in the stages of establishing ourselves in the U.S. market. We didn't want to get into Canada to soon, and feel like we now have the resources and the momentum to knock it out of the park!
