I have a couple cats that insist on me taking breaks occasionally. First is Smurf:

She is small but mighty, she's a Maine Coon lady that is about 12 years old, blind in one eye and just a bundle of love. When she climbs up your leg onto your chest and up to your neck you just have to stop and take a Smurf break :)

And the other baby (10 years old, lol) that insists on Mom taking breaks is Punch:

Shown here trying to keep us from leaving for San Diego a couple weeks ago by attempting to hold the suitcase hostage. Didn't work, but she tried!

So when you need a Smurf or Punch break, just come here and pretend they are climbing on your neck and giving YOU a nice big hug..... oh and Smurf has a tiny meow but the loudest purr ever :)

I have never heard a Maine coon described as "small". LOL. My sister has some Maine coon mixes and they are BIG cats. They can stand on their hind legs and almost reach the top of the kitchen counter with their paws. They've been her first and only cats, so it took her a while to realize just how big her cats were compared to other cats. LOL.

"When she climbs up your leg onto your chest and up to your neck..."

They look super cute but I hope she doesn't dig her claws in to gain leverage on that journey. :cheerful:

Wot? No skunks?

They're very affectionate.

I used to have black and white cats, does that count as a "skunk"? :)

LOL, for a Maine Coon Smurf is smaller than average, but very "built". My cats are bigger than most of the dogs in the neighborhood :) And they are all girls except one.

Only if they're called 'Ma Cherie'

And the skunk is Pepi le Pue

So pretty. I love their eyes, it looks as if they have kohl painted around them.

Still not getting a cat here so I'm resigned to being a cat voyeur. LOL!

PS: VampireSkunk it's "Pepe Le Pew."

Settled in well is an understatement :) They are totally at home. Punch did get nervous when furniture started to get moved from the living room temporary office back to the permanent office, but she realizes we aren't leaving again so all is well.

I used to have a little white cat with a broken tail. She walked into my garage one day and never left. Probably the best cat I have ever "owned". Naturally the cats really own us, but you get the meaning.

That little straggler of a cat had the best personality and loving attitude. I truly miss her.

Maine Coons are awesome animals. Some friends of ours used to raise and show them - had a couple of Grand Champions. They used to have eight of them at home - all lovable and cuddly - and BIG. :D

I have a white grand champion regional winner in the house right now.

The ones in my house right now are all cats I bred, except one. And she's the mom of a couple.

Who are your friends? I probably know them :) I raised and showed cats for 12 years. Did show photography as well, the results of which will be on Loxly Gallery and Gifts for Animal Lovers shortly.

The problems I have, is when I take a break with one on my lap, I usually wind up falling asleep. lol
We have 7 cats now, one is about 6 or 7 weeks old, all strays.

It's 2.32 am and I ought to be in bed ... but ... there are 3 Maine Coons who are nicely settled there for a nap ... that doesn't leave too much space for me ... it could well be the sofa for me tonight again.

And Deb ... Punch is just practising for fitting in my suitcase the next time I'm in the US ;)
