Although many people around me did not know anything about this lamp, I like having this in our office and I totally love the movie. Thank you Dominic for posing :)
I see it and so do some of my co-workers, but some can't see it either. Here is the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/30709204@N08/3110882330/

After watching the movie (again) the other night, Sandy and I were discussing whether you could buy one of these somewhere. Should have known you could. This would look great in my office. It would go right in the front window where the neighbors could see it...

We have three Christmas entertainment traditions in my household... must watch The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Christmas Vacation, and A Christmas Story. It's a plus if we catch a glimpse of the miser brothers too.

I havent missed the "A Christmas Story" marathon on TBS (or whatever channel) in over 10 years! We have a little tradition to re-gift the christmas story to everyone in the family every year. There is always at least 5 of them floating around in funny wrapped boxes on christmas!

That movie "A Christmas Story" was made on 1983, and even tho a lot of people have seen that movie at least one time by now, I wonder why no one have come out with part two yet!
No!
I don't mean the part two of the same "A Christmas Story" movie, I mean the part two of that one-leg lamp!
I'm not as sick as BurgerBoy.......
Well, I see you're feeling the leg up.

But, I think that 25 years later after that one-leg lamp was made, that maybe by now they would have made a two-legged lamp version, under that same amber skirt lampshade. http://forum.abestweb.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

deck the halls with rouws of roury. LOL my aunt has that lamp. It is a classic and is the only thing in her house that is cool. lol. I love A christmas Story every year when it is on because my husband hates it I program all the TV's in the house to only have that channel. It is funny to see him jump from room to room to escape lol.
