The most amazing part was the geese that came and said good night to the sun, there were literally hundreds and you could hear them before you could see them:

Out by the Rockaways. You can see Brooklyn in the second image, and the bridge in the third is the Verrazanno Narrows bridge that connects Brooklyn and Staten Island.
The first photo is from the back yard of a house across the street :)
From the set of photos that these 3 came from I think I have a new header in the making for NightFire Productions. The sky was really "on fire" as the sun went down. I do wish I had a good recording device because the sound of the geese coming in from Rockaway was astounding. You could hear them coming miles before you could see them.
Yup, this *is* NYC. :)
I think I will do a slideshow video after I finish recording a merchant spotlight podcast that I am doing in a few minutes :)
