Greetings all,

I recognize that this forum has been relatively neglected over the past few years, as I believe it was actually part of the AffiliateFuture sub-forum prior to being moved to AvantLink, and handled by another individual. Regardless, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself, my name is Andrew and I am the Affiliate Manager for Skis.com, as well as SummitOnline.com, SnowboardFusion.com, and TheDailySteal.com.

It is my hope, intention, and goal to reinvigorate postings to this discussion board to keep you up-to-date on the goings-on with our programs in AvantLink.

I will admit right off the bat that I am not the most technically savvy person, but I am surrounded by an excellent team of designers and developers who are. If you need something that I cannot personally handle, I will find the person on my team that can, period.

I hope that any of you who are current affiliates with us will frequent this forum for updates, and any of you who are not will give our programs a look and consider joining. We are doing a lot of great things right now, even with the lackluster economy bogging everybody down, and are always looking for the right people to work with to better ourselves even more.

Gary, I'm glad to be a part of ABW. I like the direction our programs are going, but I think that this will take them to the next level...especially if we can get our two other programs up and running for the fantastic summer weather. :thumbup2:

I've had it bookmarked for ages but its been dead. A good resource if it was updated.

The purpose of the page was to give affiliates that were a part of CJ access to all of our feeds. It was made because CJ wanted to charge us to set up the product catalogs, but we were not willing to do that for each site.

After a while, we found that we were losing money by continually updating it with coupons, so we stopped offering coupons for a while. At that point, we found that the page really was not worth maintaining. That's when we launched with AvantLink. We were able to offer the product feeds we wanted there without the cost, so the page was pretty much put to pasture...although it looks like our design team hasn't removed it for some reason...I'll have to look into that.

How about hockeydeals? Any plans on moving that over to Avantlink?

Hey Don,

Moving HockeyDeals.com over to AvantLink is not on the docket at the moment. But it is certainly something that I am going to consider over the next weeks and months. Of all of our 3 programs in CJ, HD ranks 3rd in terms of generated revenue, so it's difficult for me to sell the idea to the "higher-ups" that we can add it to the AvantLink lineup.

I will tell you that it's been gaining some momentum as of late and things are starting to look more promising. If that success continues, or even gets better, I think I will have some more ammunition.

I would think with the former largest affiliate hockey retailer out of the picture, hockeydeals should see more affiliate business. ;)
