The Minnesota Senate bill ( SF 282 ) about collecting sales tax on internet sales is scheduled to go before the Taxes Committee on 04/16/2009. Meeting scheduled for 08:30 AM in Room 15 Capitol. In the future, if you need some help with advocacy and reaching out to Representatives and Senators (Rep Steve Simon is a family friend and Senator Marty chief authored a bill my committee submitted last year) let me know. Last year a committee I'm on, wrote and had our bill passed by the MN House and Senate (Later vetoed by Gov Paulenty). I've met with a number of legislators and senators and know the process of a grass roots advocacy campaign.
