New Life Products has been manufacturing a line of weight-loss products since 1999 called ChitoGenics. Their latest best-selling product, ChitoGold, was developed about 3 years ago that really WORKS (<1% return rate!).
The product has been marketed very successfully over the radio since inception. This is our first effort on the internet and heard from many that Shareasale was the best place to start.
We have developed a beautiful landing page for a FREE TRIAL that has a $35 payout for whoever signs up for it. They just pay $4.95 shipping. Check it out at: http://www.chitogenics.net/chito-gold-landing2/. We have the first set of banners up there now and will have new looking ones that will be released on 7/1.
We also manufacturer a sleep aid that is simply AMAZING (called Force Sleep). We will have the new landing page for this offer ready by 7/15 with a similar CPA campaign.

I may be interested as I do have spots for lead offers like this, BUT......
Would you have creatives available that present the offer as "try it now for just $4.95", rather than "Free" when it is not truly free? Even your thread title here says "SELL Free Trial".
You dodged my question in the other thread where your offer was being discussed.

Your "This Free Trial Offer is Only Available for Five Minutes" and countdown clock give your product and your site the appearance of being a scam.
If you want respectability and creditability, you should get rid of that.

Thanks. That's waht we're here for. If you have a thick skin and can take constructive feedback, you'll learn a lot.
I agree with the other comments:
A banner stating $4.95 S&S
Getting rid of the time-down clock.
I think following those two recommendations would greatly enhance the offer.

Thanks for the feedbacks - here is another that we made that does no have the clock - do you all think it is better? We chose the other one but maybe we should promote both and let you all decide what you like?

Completely dodges questions about concerns about the offer.
To be so willing to pay $35 on a $4.95 initial charge.... customers must be getting hooked into some surprise that it's hard to extricate themselves from.

http://www.chitogenics.net/chito-gold-landing/This page says nothing about the $4.95 charge. Is it free if ordered through this page? Or is it just not mentioned until someone orders it, ostensibly for free?

As a prospective affiliate, I would like to request full disclosure of what process the customer is drawn into, which enables your company to pay $35 up front on a $4.95 initial fee.

On the sign-up form it does say that shipping and handling charhes apply.

On the sign-up form it does say that shipping and handling charhes apply. The "Home" page sign-up form is totally silent as to any charges. I do now see that if you click the small print link at the bottom that gets you to "Site Terms and Conditions" it does say $4.95. This is really deceptive.

The crux of the biscuit we are buttering here is "what road are we sending our site visitors to that enables this company to pay $35 upfront on this offer."
Any self-respecting webmaster who has any human compassion or concern for their own reputation would want to know wtf is up with this.

I did some research online and found that if a customer decides to purchase the product after the free trial the price of the product is as follows:
At the time of this review this product retailed for $49.95 for 1 bottle, $99.95 for 3 bottles, and $149.95 for 6 bottles. The company offers a money back guarantee for the return of any unopened bottles.
Like other leads that some companies offer they're willing to pay significantly on leads knowing that a certain % will convert to full paying customers.

I hate that crap and feel that the site thinks I am stupid when I see that.

I remember 1800 Patches offering this kind of 'free trial'
You pay $4.95 for a free trial of 2 bottles? Why send 2 bottles as part of a free trial?
Smells like a rip off.
Oh and the 5 minute countdown is a lie, and makes you look like a scam artist.

Wow- there are a bunch of synics in here? SCAM - are you kidding me? 2 bottles is a one month supply as people may not see results after just one bottle depending on diet/cycle. The original landing-page we made had no clock. This was done by the designers at Azoogle - we kinda felt like they knew what they were doing. We do have banners for the original landing page so we will put that up as a different offer if so many really think the clock gives us the wrong impression.

What process are customers drawn into once they "sign up" for this offer? Are they drawn into a billing arrangement that is difficult for them to extricate themselves from?

I have a couple of points before we say a merchant is offering a "scam".
1) I did some research before joining the merchant and before making unsubstantiated claims against the merchant. From what I read the negatives of Chitogold were a) Evidence is disputed about the core ingredient in the product and if it really is a miracle ingredient and b) While Chitogold guarantees the product they will only refund unopened bottles.
2) My opinion is like any other product that an affiliate site places on their website, be it a laptop offer, beauty, home and garden, etc. With the number of review and rating sites out their, we expect that our customers will do extensive research on price and quality of the product before buying it from our site. Why should this offering be any different and why would we expect less from our customers? Why shouldn't we expect that they will do their research before ordering off our site?
There is debate about the product as there is for many of the other diet programs and nutritional aids/supplements on the market. It's up to us to be honest and not misrepresent the offering and then it's up to our customers to exercise due diligence before purchasing or taking the offer.

(1) Do you provide phone-order tracking?
(2) Your "privacy policy" and "terms and conditions" links are not valid.

The link is being fixed - first use of this new landing page.
No one is being forced into anything. We are not into tieing peoples hands behind their back with initial offer. 0 chargebacks in the past 6 months - easy return policy - open or unopened.
We are looking to build a relationship with our clients? If they do not like one of our products they may like some of the others.
