Hi La_Valette,

Well if you do the google word search thing, there certainly seems like a lot of interest in swords and armaments but I am sure more of the inexpensive stuff from the far east is sold (in numbers) than the Marto "rolex" quality made in Toledo Spain items are. However, Marto sells in dollars more than ANY other sword company in the world and there is NO competition in their quality range.

Also Marto produces items that are unique to them , as well as having officially licensed products like the Conan the Barbarian items which is a BIG plus since a new Conan movie is already in production.

Marto products are for discriminating collectors as well as for interior designers who design things like medieval theme decor for client's offices and homes. I guess if they have a client that can afford to have a home media room, that client can also afford things like high quality suits of armor, swords, shields etc. Also life size suits of armor are very impressive "frills" for a lawyer's office etc.

Also with the increasing popularity of things like the Renaissance fairs market, (over 10 million people went to a renaissance fair last year) there seems to be a lot of growing interest from "lay" people.

I guess to answer your question, I would use the analogy of Rolex. "Plenty" people buy Rolexes, but I am sure more buy a timex. However, for those that want and can afford a Rolex, they have only one place to go. (and how many timex watches do you have to sell to equal one Rolex sale?)

Regards,

Phil

This is lots of work to do, by just promoting affiliate programs.

Yes promoting affiliate programs IS a lot of work, if you are going to be successful. Just ask anyone at ABW. However there are many rewards and benefits to being an affiliate marketer.
