Haiko -

You're assuming that everybody is as up to date on all of the parasites.

The threads about Box Tops on here go back less than two months, and this is only the third thread on the topic in the section dedicated to them.

Personally, I was not aware that they had a Top Moxie tool until yesterday.

Also, I never claimed to be fighting the parasites for four years. I referred to "the work I've been doing for nearly 4 years here" - meaning the management of our affiliate program.

Please substantiate these "mistakes." That's wreckless garbage to go around making such baseless statements.

OK, Shawn. How about this thread for starters: See who Shawn Collins pushes to other Merchants! (http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=548608979&f=982601789&m=7296020233)

On that page, you had a listing of top affiliates that AMs should recruit for their programs. Among them were several that are considered parasitic by the affiliate populace at large. Yet you are recommending them to AMs!

This coming from our representative at the November 7th meeting! And now you're accidentally sending out advertisements. Mistakes? Serious one perhaps, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now. You made changes to the page mentioned in the thread above after it was brought to your attention.

What do you intend to do about the ad? Refund the money and send out a correction?

Andy

Yes, as you can see from my statements in the thread, this was a list created by submissions of affiliate managers, and established at their request.

In no way did I advocate, recommend, or push any of the sites, and I received no benefit from listing them.

It was purely an objective list of super affiliates that had been requested frequently by affiliate managers. No more, and no less.

Again, you said "I've seen too many "mistakes" from your camp." Please elaborate.

It wasn't an editorial, it was a paid advertisement, and I think any subsequent follow-up to our subscribers would serve to bring more awareness to them.

http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif It's important that you believe that.

Enough said.

Ok, why not send out a letter to your suscribers describing the pitfalls of these downloads - something that would tell them about spyware, adware, etc.. and all the junk it can add to you PC unawares. Tell them how it can cause problems with their PC. Tell them where to go to remove these things from their PC's.

What I am asking is an informative article about these things, what they do to the little guy (like us) and how to get it off your computer.

And I would like for it to be sent out before the Holiday season really kicks in. I would also like for the article to be posted on ClubMom in a prominet place.

I think that would be a fair thing to do and I don't think it is asking too much.

I'll tell you what's important, Andy.

It's important that you backup your anonymous, ad hominem arguments with facts.

Enough with the libelous statements and rolling eyes - what's you basis for saying that:

I'm a 'puppet for the parasites'

I've 'given up (my) morals and ethics for the almighty dollar'

I'm 'pretending to be something (I'm not)'
You've 'seen too many "mistakes" from (my) camp'[/list]

I've been speaking with my CMO today about an e-mail to members and call-out on the site with this sort of information today.

I'll be putting something together along those lines.

When I saw his announcement in the "New Programs" forum, I took a long look at this site and I smelled a BHO.
I even PM'd Shawn and asked him if there was a BHO involved, because it looked like there was to me. He said there was absolutely no BHO involved with this site.

Ya' just never know! But things like this teach us, bit by bit. I'm glad I never signed up. Less work to do now.

And..? There still has never been a BHO associated with ClubMom.

As stated previously in this thread, there was a one time media buy from Box Tops through the advertising department, and it's never happened again.

But hey - don't let facts get in the way of a good flame.
