I recently received this question/request from one of the Vanns.com netProfits Publishers and wanted to share it and the answer with all of you as I thought you may be interested.

Hi Matt, You asked if there was anything that would help affiliates make more sales.
Would you consider making links in CJ so that "advertiser allows URL redirects for this link". Most of my top merchants have this option
available. With this advanced option it is 100% more effective at promoting key products because I can change the destination url. Examples: I could link directly to product name brand Sony, Kenwood, Bose , Exc....
I have one merchant that I went from having $300 to $400 in sales monthly to $3000 - $4000 by using the advanced option links Im talking about.
And here's the reply back:
Yes, we will allow this. However, it won't be available until after the new year. Due to the nature of our site, we will create the alternate links for you as well (in order to make sure that no broken or problematic links are out there causing the affiliates problems). These links will be found by either contacting me or visiting an affiliate resource page on our site that we are going to be building.
Vanns.com is working towards providing a variety of web services for our affiliates. Among these services will be alternate destination link generation, xml content/data feeds, an online news letter and many others. Essentially we are working towards having a portion of our site dedicated to you, our affiliates. On this portion of the site we'll be able to give you all the tools you need to operate a highly successful program with us.
I'm sorry that we can't offer this and other abilities sooner but it's coming soon.
