Had a nice sale with Vanns today, $1288.00, almost a $40.00 commish. Actually this is my second sale with Vanns. My first sale was for around $100.00. I just hope that the 'nice sale' is not reversed. The merchants at CJ seem to do this alot. The first sale at Vanns however was accepted and am hoping the second one is also. By the way Matt, nice online store.

I believe the sale I made was for a laptop and have now added this product (and others to my second site). I have both Computer and Electronic products displayed on my second site but will add products to my first site (just as soon as Google does his (or her) thing), DO NOT WANT TO MISS 'the dance'. And I am happy (extremely) about this nice (2nd) sale going through (fingers still crossed).

Yeah, Mike, Vanns is easily my best performing electronics merchant. They've got a decent selection of better brand name "home theater in a box" systems at good prices with free shipping.

I will be developing more niche electronics sites over the next month or two and Vanns will have a prominent role in several of them.

I thinks people like the name VANNS, too. Maybe a psychological thing.

I look forward to the updates and enhancements of the Vanns.com website that Matt has mentioned.

I've got one thing all taken care of for you. The product links...they should all be current and up to date very, very soon (if not already). We just initiated a new data feed with CJ so they should now be consistently current with our program from here on out.

This is great for everyone...I don't have to go through product by product deleting things. You don't have to search through old products just to get what you need, etc.

2 Questions Matt

First, I have Products displayed and also have prices (added to html), is this alright to add prices? or not.

Second, how long does it take for the sale to go through (accepted) generally.

I don't have any issues with you adding prices. That's fine. Although you may want to start getting a datafeed from CJ as we do change prices often.

Generally I wait 14 days to approve a sale. I just like to make sure that it doesn't have any major problems. I don't like to charge back unless an order has major problems though...i.e. fraud cases . Most of the time you affiliates have no control over fraud and declined credit cards so I don't feel it's fair to penalize you. Although I do sometimes have to charge back an order...but I try to do it as infrequently as possible.

I checked my account status and the 'nice' sale was accepted (today). I will then be patient on the 3rd 'nice' sale I made the other day to be accepted. At least I know I will be receiving a payment from CJ (finally) in the next payout period.

I will keep an eye-out for price changes (which I do for all my merchants) and adjust accordingly. I beleive to get datafeed, I have to pay a certain amount or have sold (I beleive) $10,000 in merchandise with all merchants, I could be wrong.
