I have had 602 clicks and only 2 leads sign up. I am using PPC with good keyword choice and advertising the $2.95 trial sign up. Is anyone else struggling with conversions?
Maybe I should have Rob do a cpl of test sales for me using my links. Suggestions please. The PPC costs are eating me up.

Which PPC? Anything other than google or overture is probably a waste of money.

Google and Findwhat

You should certainly be able to get a better conversion rate than that. CJ stats for this month show our keyword links converting at about 1.8%. Our most active PPC affiliates are getting around 3% conversions.

On our own PPC ads, we get up to 5%.

If you'd like to email me at rob.palmer(at)freelanceworkexchange.com, I can give you some direct advice on your ads, etc.

To follow up on the previous post, here is some general advice on PPC advertising for our program.

Google, Overture and FindWhat all work well for us. 7Search works particularly well, generating up to 7% conversion rate for the right keywords. Looksmart, on the other hand, doesn't seem to convert well for us - I've no idea why.

If you put the trial price ($2.95) in your ad, your conversion rate will improve, as the traffic is better qualified. But please note that this can also affect your positioning on Google, where click-through rates affect your ranking.

If there's anything else you need to know, just shout...

As you can see from the dates of the posts, we replied to the original messages as they were posted. But I am happy to update the thread and reply to any new messages.

Please bear in mind that with our system, conversion rates may seem low initially, but signups occur weeks or even months after the initial click - so you will see your conversion rates improve steadily over time.
