Bryan,
We've had brief discussions about fraud from stolen credit cards, etc. It is a bone of contention when it comes to reversals, etc. I have been researching this quite a bit to cut down on our fraud (as our company has grown, so has the fraud). A lot of it was caught during the credit card processing, but not all of it. I know this has been an issue with you also. Anyhow, after researching it, we now have a system in place (using .htaccess) that has brought our fraud attempts down to 0. Any chance you guys may be interested in this? Just wanted to share some info with you on stopping the fraud attempts.

Tom,

I appreciate the offer and we should talk. You might have discovered some things we haven't thought of yet.
However, our problems with fraud are primarily due to the fact that our shopping cart is horrible. We've done everything possible with the current cart to prevent fruad without holding back legitimate orders. In about six weeks we are launching a new site design, powered by Interchange, that will have a brand new, very powerful shopping cart. It should fix the loopholes that let's fraud into our system currently. The fraud orders aren't being processed by customer service, but they are being tracked by CJ. And they are almost always high dollar amounts, so they really crush our Charge Back %.

I'd still like to hear what you've figured out so that we can optimize the new system. Feel free to give me a call or send me your number and i'll call you.

Thanks,

Bryan
