Question :

Since it's different software you're using, will we have to sign up again or are you / were you able to use the existing database of members?

All,

I have to recategorize the threads so that they import correctly, so the FP (current) will be undergoing some major changes (system will NOT be down).

Can anyone go to:
http://www.abestweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi

And give me feed back on the categorization?

I know it is askew ... I'm not going to fix it on ABW 1.0

Looks OK, but you forgot the "Clover This" board...

You asked for it...

Barter/Trade seems to have an awfully high placement considering the actual interest in that forum...

The Announcements, ParasiteWare, Merchant Services, and Moderator Forums description lines don't take up enough of the screen (TOO SHORT)--that's what's making it have too much border I see...

Also the (thin) borders around all the different forums are too dark. It's distracting...

As for the anything else being skewed, I can see that the forums are in different locations than they used to be, but I don't know which of that is intentional and which isn't!

Categorization good and well organized. Are you going to have direct links to abestcoupon™ , merchantwatch™ , etc?

That is what I meant by askew.

Most of what is where (ecept for placement will be)

I would really like it if I did not have to scroll sideways.

It seems too dark.

eeeekkkk  I hate change - lol

But I think it will be ok once we get used to it. But it would be REALLY great if I didn't have to scroll.

Vicki,

It is too dark ... We haven't worked on the css files (We will have multiple css files so you can change your to a custom one).

No scrollbars on abw! Never! Once we are active! (tests - maybe :cool /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I'll fix it!

Haiko, I like the set up. I see what Leader see's. Can you see what I see a child a child. Ooops sorry got off track.

It looks like the width of the tables or cells for Announcements, Parasite, AbestCoupon, Merchant Service and Private need to be widened as you probably are already working on. Other than that it looks good. <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon14.gif>

Haiko, one other thing. Is it posible for you to put a link in the Hop To Menu to the main section so I don't have to keep going to Home to re-enter the site and get to the main page. A link to
http://www.abestweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi

would be helpful. Thanks.

I hope we can still enjoy the same kind of community interaction with "coupons" and "freebies" as we have now.

Could "Today's Active Threads" have three sections with headings such as "Affiliate Marketing" "Coupons and Refunding" "Freebies" so we can check all three boards on the same page?

That will hopefully keep everyone feeling like we are all part of the same family and foster cross interest.

I am afraid our new members will get lost on some marginally connected board and be forgotten. After the big welcome here, what a shame that would be.

"What the mind can conceive, the code can achieve." Right?

Also, "Lounge" and "Your Site/Webmaster Help" etc. should be the same for all three sites if you don't already have it that way. I just don't want to see the whole broken into the sum of its parts.

Perhaps, this is already the plan. It just isn't clear to me.

Wow you all never cease to amaze me. Looking out for all our best interest. What an amazing group/family you are welcoming us into. Very proud to be a part of the community here. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif
