All,

I will reattempt the upgrade today between 5 -6 pm EST, if it works, you will be redirected to the new forums ... just log in (same username and password).

I have to close the boards to that all information is imported correctly, sorry tongue.gif

I will also be announcing a few new moderators (which have their status already) after the upgrade (cross your fingers - (I know I am LOL - Darn XO Supreme /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )).

All,

Yet another trouble ticket (I swear it isn't me!)

Give it a few hours and it ( http://www.abestweb.com/forums [Do NOT POST There!]) will be up in a few hours ... the developers are on the case.

Haiko
PS any posts on this board WILL NOT be imported to the new one (unless it takes more than a few hours).

It looks much better than the first ABW 2.0 from a few days ago--hopefully it'll be running soon!

All,

There are many parse errors, because of infopoop import software not grouping the messages ... but try a search ..... WOW ... The entire DB is lightning!

Still waiting for the response from poop.

Haiko
PS If you see an error login (same info)

Haiko... looks good & that search is kinda quick.

The extra options that we have looks cool (skins & post options are great!).
My fave will be the preview post.
Shouldn't be much of a prob upgrading your php to the version they recommend though.

Haiko, have you tried to switch the "Magic Quotes" config in PHP?

Some of my PHP-scripts need opposite "Magic Quotes" configuration, which is a PITA, but that often solves my parse errors.

From php.net:
"If magic_quotes_runtime is enabled, most functions that return data from any sort of external source including databases and text files will have quotes escaped with a backslash. "

If PHP gets confused as to what is code and what is data, you'll get these parse error.

I know close to nothing about PHP, just trying to be helpful.
