The Nameservers crashed earlier this morning, but it has been fixed now.

I am soooo glad ABW is back online!!!

All I could think was oh no, were will we all meet!!
Maybe we could have a back up forum so if something happened, we could all keep in touch.

My thoughts exactly. But I'm still traumatized by CJU going down! I'm assumimg as Haiko has all our emails we'd get a message if anything tragic happened, but it would be nice to have a backup plan.

I thought it was a problem with my ISP, because I couldn't access my sites either.
It was not until this morning that I realised that ABW & my sites on probably on the same nameserver..
My first downtime for this server.. not bad at all compared to some of my others.
I couldn't even access the Live Chat.. lol

ABW is not going anywhere! PERIOD!

I spoke with tech support when it happened (I got a beep from them) and they said it would be fixed in 3-4 hrs ... so I didn't bother to mail anyone as it was during one of our slowest time periods.

But, in case of some problem, (terrorists) I think everyone should bookmark The Blueroom (http://deal101.com/chat/) so we have somewhere to check for upadtes from each other. We should remember that it can only hold 10 members at a time. Check in...Then, let the next ABW member have access.

ABWChat will have a diff dns, host and will have multiple IP redundancy so it should not be a prob.

PS ABWchat will, also, allow 1K simultaneous users ... I got it covered ... but it takes time!

But, remember,it is only because you and everyone else here is so important to us that we get nervous and jerky.

If we didn't care, we wouldn't be needing all these reassurances.

SSanf, if ABW is down due to reasons such as last night... you can be sure that deal101.com will be down also.. same host & nameservers. (Haiko & I both use the same host)

BTW.. if anyone wants to run their own live chat on their own site, simply go to Chat-Forum.com (http://www.chat-forum.com) & sign up..
It's better to talk to family & friends this way, than over email /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

just be aware of the 10 person limit (same as The Blue Room)..

That's why ABWChat will be heaps better!!..
