Hi all,

My wife is the Affiliate recruiter for this product.

http://www.groovycandies.com

Signup:
http://www.groovycandies.com/affiliate.htm

Gift selections:
http://www.groovycandies.com/allassort.asp

The commission is %10, 365 day cookies and is served from Sharasale. (Our friend owns this company so she recruits for him for Swedish fish!)

These boxes of niche candy from the 60's, 70's, 80's and today are amazing sellers for niche sites and gift related sites.

Heck, you could put this product anywhere really it's so unique. Try putting some of the links on your home page for 5 days and see how it converts for you, that's all we ask. And be nice to my wife! http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Jim:

How can you not love this stuff! We have not worked with Shareasale to this point, but this program is enough to get us started.

What a great idea! Your wife has a winner on her hands!

That phone number is very prominant. Would we be credited for phone sales?

Ooooh, CJ, good point. I overlooked that in my haste to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Jim: Any chance that could be made less prominent or do affiliates get credited with phone sales?

Jim, I always loved one shop in town where i could find that stuff. Brings back the good old (younger) days. I think this site is gem!

My question is, does anyone know if theyu still manufacture this stuff or is it 20 yr old candy? http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif It would seem odd that someone had a bunch of unopened old candy around. I am guessing that it is newly manufactured to look old? Hope this make sense.

I put Groovy Candies on my site recently and they're selling very well!

I jumped on ABestWeb, noticed PhillyBurbs was online too, and since I'm in Bucks County (PhillyBurbs territory) I looked up recent PhillyBurb posts and stumbled on your post.

Small world, eh?

I have C-boom.com -- a website for baby boomers. I've turned the thrust of it over to marketing 40th and 50th birthday gifts and party ideas. GroovyCandies fit right in!

Hey everyone, thanks for the responses. My wife said that she got a bunch of new signups, so I'm guessing they were all you!

I'm going to have a chat with the owner about the 800 number again. I did tell him about this issue when I put the program together for him, however, he's a "non-believer". In other words, he has to see cash before he'll make an adjustment, and he makes a lot from the phone number.

I will pitch him on having the sales guy ask who they were referred from, etc... However, I'm not sure he'll go for it. Like I said, we're doing this as a favor to him. Plus I wanted my wife to learn the business.

Oh yeah, last question! http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The candy isn't old at all. All of this stuff is still manufactured to this day, can you believe it? There is a complete list of discontinued candy on the site someplace. You should see their retail store. They have candy in there that makes you just laugh and say, "holy cow, I used to love those!!!"

Thanks everyone.

Hello Jim,

I just thought I'd chime in and let you know that SAS - SSAID# is a fairly simple way to integrate the affiliate referral ID for inserting a promo ID# (identifies affiliate member to credit phone sale) for all 1-800 calls.

We set up a merchant at SAS with this type function and it works great.

Might be an easy sell to the owner if he knows it is only a matter of a PERL code detector being installed for printing this promo ID#.

Hope this info helps.
