Each time a customer makes a purchase on eaglesmokes.com from a link on your web site or newsletter, you will earn a commission. As an Affiliate, you can refer customers to our store using banners, text links, etc. placed on your current web site. When purchases are made, they are tracked by DirectTrack proprietary software and your Affiliate account is credited.

Q: What if they don’t buy the first time?
A: You will still earn your commission if a customer comes back and purchases months later! A life-time cookie will be placed on the user’s computer.

Actually, the idea is not to get "free traffic" at all but to improve page rank. Affiliates who have our banners or deep-linked product images on their site are surely going to direct most traffic to us thru those highly visible links, and will get paid for leads/sales accordingly.

To be honest, we don't really care where on the page the plain text link goes. It can be buried at the bottom of the page where it is unlikely to get much attention. It still helps us to improve our link popularity.

Affiliates aren't here to boost a mechants link popularity. And $28 for a 6 month text link to your home page is a joke.

Improving a merchant's page rank is directly counter to the objective of any affiliate with sense.

Let's see...take your offer, help you get #1s for those terms, and get $28--or take the top spots ourselves and earn more than that in commissions in a day for the other cigarette merchant.

I think you guys are jumping the gun in slamming this offer without thinking it through. First you assumed the affiliate is a cigarette site competing with the merchant.

Let's say I am an affiliate with many non-cigarette oriented websites (online gambling for example)that have already have cigarette banners linked to this merchant. I spend 25-30 minutes to add plain text links to the bottoms of the homepages on my 11 sites with PR4+, and I earn $308.00 for my trouble. In 30 minutes.

How is this a bad deal again?

Oddly enough, that seems to be a common sentiment among "veterans" on this board, though not among my new or existing affiliates. I suppose that as long as the record affiliate signups and sales growth continues, I can probably live with any consequences that I can't imagine. LOL.

I came across really harsh and I want to say ... "hey that was abit harsh I am sorry".

I guess for myself I know how hard and long I have worked for things like pagerank .... traffic ... and enough affiliate income to quite my day job.

I have always believed (as an affiliate manager) that If I can bring to the table a great program that truely values the affiliates things like pagerank and my own traffic really won't matter ;-)

Inky, that depends on local prices and taxes where you are. The "Save up to 60%" is in comparison to the typical local price in the major markets we sell to.
