Joseph,

I see this is your first post, welcome to ABW! http://abestweb.com/smilies/thumbup2.gif

Is there any chance of offering a free datafeed? If so I have a few unique ideas to promote your program. I am sure there are MANY others here that would also be interested....

so . . . was the asterisk after "Q4!!!" there for a reference that was not given, or just for decoration.

My guess is that you can get up to 10% if you make it to that tier. But who knows. A response would be nice.

Hi, Herb and cybear:

I'm a Target partner, and just confirmed with Joseph that he meant to note that the offer is live in our LinkShare accounts for all of calendar year Q4 - from 10/1-12/31/04! There is no volume threshold - 10% commissions for Q4, vs. their usual 5-7% tiered offer - easy as pie! Go Target!!

Sorry for the delay in getting a response posted. Clarissa is correct. The asterisk was supposed to reference that by Q4, we mean Oct. 1st through December 31st 2004. Hope that clears things up!

Can I ask a stupid question as long as you're here? (and welcome to ABW)

It's NOT a setup question - it's an honest stupid question.

When I originally signed up for Target (and Wal-Mart and Sears) I said "Cool! EVERYONE shops here! I'll be a millionare by Friday!"

We send zillions of people to these 3 stores, and if we're lucky we get one sale for $1.20 commission.

What do most people do when they get to these kinds of stores - if they're not there to shop?

My only guess is that they're looking for something like a Mr. Coffee and use my site as a launching pad to compare prices at all 3, and then jump in the car and drive to the store that had the cheapest price.

To be honest, when my kid wants the latest GameCube game, I go online and check the price at Wal-Mart, Target, and Gamestop - and then drive to the store myself (all 3 stores are one block away)

Same thing happens with Kragen Auto Parts - and the AM was very upfront. People go there to price thing to see how much it would cost to customize their car - and then drive to the local kragen store to see it in person.

Frustrating, and would be nice to get a "scientific" answer rather than me guessing.
