Half the AMs I deal with are legally dead. They don't respond. Their links haven't been updated since the Cold War. I can only assume there's a decaying corpse at their desk.

The other half are cubicle wanks (I've been waiting a long time to use one of Mike and Charlie's trademarked terms!) who treat affiliates just like their own large corporate organizations treat them - a nameless number in a cubicle, whose job it appears to be is to send out at least one useless memo a day designed to irritate the hec out of anyone who receives it!

Then there's the few who are nice, normal, helpful, and everything else an affiliate needs an AM to be. You've now joined the ranks of Akiva, Chris, Catalyst, et al. (Unfortunately there's no pay raise with this promotion, but you get "status")

Nevada appears to be the only state that DOESN'T celebrate Columbus Day. We get off Oct 31 for that all-important "Nevada Statehood Day", which forunately is always the same day as Halloween!!

Sales have been even more fantastic than usual this week - looks like a lot of you are really gunning for that cash!

For those of you who have yet to enter the running in our big October contest, do a quick review of your Rugman.com listing to determine how you can ramp it up.

Just a few things to consider if you haven't already:

-Are you up to date on our latest promotional links?

-Are you featuring us in a high traffic, visible spot on your site?

-Is the listing noticeable or is it jumbled in with a bunch of other text?

-Are you listing all of our promotions, or just one? If just one, is it the most compelling of all?

-Is your listing correct? Check to make sure dates, discount amounts and coupon codes all read correctly. Be sure you are not hosting expired promotions.

-Are you encouraging customers to hurry and buy before sale-end or do your expiry dates read "unknown"? Creating a sense of urgency is key.

If anyone needs anything to help them convert better, please get in touch, either by email, ABW PM, CJ Mail, or by phone (I'll be back in the office on Tuesday).
