Brandon;
How does one join? Are you with a network? There is no affiliate program info on your website. Also, do we receive a commission if a shopper gets to your site through an affiliate link and then makes a purchase via your 800 phone number, or via live chat, both of which are prominately displayed on your pages?

Brandon;
Nevermind the network question...Found you at CJ. However, would still like to know about the 800# and live chat situation.

Glad you found us on CJ. I should have mentioned that in the original post!

As far as the 800 number, we are an 85 year old company and some of our 85 year old customers still use the telephone. I noticed in some other posts that there is some code that can be used to display the affiliate ID below the phone number. I will look into that and would appreciate it if anyone has a code snippet for our .NET site.

I will work on securing programming resources to display the affiliate ID on the page, but I can't promise it before the end of this year as we are extremely busy just fulfilling orders right now.

I hope that will work for the time being as I want to make sure that our affiliate program is the best it can be for all parties involved.

Based on customer feedback we've also just increased our font size throughout the site and added a rollover feature to our categories. This is a direct effort to increase conversion. If anyone has other suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

OMG....how did I miss this thread?!?!? I can't speak personally for the affiliate program, but the product rocks! Just finished brewing a fresh pot as a matter of fact and I'm sipping on a cup New Orleans Blend right now. http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif And never try to stand betweem me and my cup of Community coffee first thing in the morning (or anytime of day for that matter). http://66.132.187.8/smilies/angel.gif

Welcome to ABW Brandon and best of luck with the program. Glad to see the rest of the country has a chance to share in some of the really good stuff we have down here. http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'll be passing through Lousiana later this week on my way to west Texas. I only get back there once every few years, and I always stop at the welcome center at the state line and have a cup of GOOD coffee.
I'm excited because this time I will actually be there during crawfish season. Time to pinch some tails!!!

If you pass through Baton Rouge on I-10, make sure you take a big whiff of the roasted coffee as you pass over the Mississippi River bridge!

On another note, I've got a surplus of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee I'd like to move out. Anyone have suggestions on how to help you drive sales of that particular item? It's pretty pricey at $24.95/half pound so the conversion won't be as high as other items. I can maybe bundle a $10 french press with it? Or a free Community Coffee cap? Open for ideas. Not sure if I can increase commission on one item through CJ? If I have to program for it on my end that won't happen any time soon as I don't have the resources.

Brandon-

Do you folks have a datafeed other than through the showcase builder? Don't get me wrong, the showcase thing is nice, but it is quicker for me to add you to my gourmet site if I have a raw feed. Thanks.

Same here...I'd be interested if there was a flat file or XML feed.

I can send you a csv file of products if you like. Just let me know the fields you need and an address to email to. I'd like to build a single feed for all affiliates, rather than a custom feed for each so we'll all have to come to agreement on fields and field names.

Just drop me an email request via the email in my profile.

Did anything come out of the data feed? I got busy in mid-feb and forgot to send you the fields I needed. I can do that now if the feed doesn't exist yet.

Good coffee, BTW...we all enjoyed my test order. :)

Do you have any of the Jamaica Blue left? In most coffee shops that product is constrained because of the limited harvest. $25/pound is a decent price to the right demographic. I don't have any sites set up yet to promote that type of product, but I'll find one. Content over program in my book any day!

...just signed up. :super:

Tim, I can create any feed you like as a csv. Just let me know if there is anything in particular you are looking for. Email me at affiliates at communitycoffee.com and I'll reply with a standard feed.

Glad you enjoyed the coffee. I haven't looked yet on my end, but how's the program going for you? I have yet to get any affiliates that really stand out, so let me know what I can help you with.

As of this week, I am again fully staffed so I can now focus more on the program and marketing rather than the other tedious stuff that gets in the way.

I'd like to do an "affiliates only" promotion for your consumers, I just need to slow down long enough to think about it. Let me know if you have some ideas on what may be of interest.

We just used up the last of our Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. It is expensive and a very good gift for the person who has everything.

Hurricane Ivan did quite a bit of damage to Jamaica, however, we did purchase our green coffee just prior to that happening. Due to the hurricane, the price of JBM green coffee has increased.

We will offer JBM again in the fall as a seasonal offering.

I'd like to see the clearance stuff added to the dPSC. I think that's a good way to handle stock that is due to change.
