Anybody have any knowledge on this... purchasepost.com has a domain registered to 180solutions... does anyone know if purchasepost is using the same nCase means ...
purchasepost.com uses the same nameservers as 180solutions.com.
the NS domain reeltimes.tv is also registered to the same crowd.
So I think you may have a positive match there.

I can definitely confirm that Purchase Post is engaging in parasitic activity. I just forwarded hard evidence from my server logs to CJ where legitimately referred search engine and ppc traffic (containing NO affiliate site in their results) is followed directly by a hit to our home page with purchasepost.com's PID.
This publisher has been expired, and all their transactions will be reversed shortly. I hope this post helps other merchants identify these jokers and kick them out of their programs as well. The good thing is that this publisher is still new, and only joined CJ on August 26th. I have been suspicious of their high traffic for about a week, but I didn't have evidence until this morning when I spent some time digging through the logs.
Good call on the DNS server match, Drewbert. I wouldn't normally consider a dns server match since many, many companies share dns services. Every little bit of data helps though.
Thanks,
Dale

Another prime example of a sleezy merchant poser at CJ using "tricks for Clicks" to pad their own affiliate account. Boot 180 solutions and all their offspring out of the networks and save the real merchants EPC.

Thanks for the info Guys!
It seems more Parasites are crawling out of the woodwork these days. Thankfully for forums like this we can all stick together...
180solutions will now need to find a new "solution" to their vitamin commissions.

Smart move Chet as these BHO's refuse to advertise, put up pre-sell showcases or do anything more than snatch a cash from real merchants tills. All the merchants posting here at ABW need to put out a banned list of Dupers and rogue affiliates in the merchants only forum.

Wouldn't it be nice if CJ started enforcing their policies for a change and put a stop to this SH!T? http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif
I'm sure they'll allow the scum to stay in the network, since they have "connections" to their top publishers! http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I assume that their website at www.purchasepost.com (http://www.purchasepost.com) is just a front for them having another active PID...
For great AM's like Akiva running parasite free programs you'd think CJ could furnish you with all this wanks PID's.

Per CJ rules, PurchasePost has ammended their incentive description to:

quote:
Ncase software: Once installed, we provide the user with contextually based shopping alternatives which then generate money for us based on our partnerships with the comparison shopping sources.

They are now reapplying to all programs. Needless to say they have been declined for the programs I manage http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Someone from CJ's fraud department called me this morning to talk about PP. CJ has blacklisted PP from our program and reversed all the sales they made this month since joining (about a dozen). Looks like they made PP disclose exactly what software they are using (Ncase, from 180solutions) in order to keep their account.
Contextually-based shopping alternatives my a$$... Thieves! http://abestweb.com/smilies/dev2.gif

Yep. CJ reversed all of September's transactions today. I counted 12 for SportsFanfare and 6 for EssentialApparel.
CJ finds they were "not necessarilty truthfull in their prior representation of themselves ", cancels all sales and closes all relationships.
Then allows them to change their description, re-apply to merchants and then do business as normal.
Am I reading this right?

PeePee merchants with PooPoo policies allow our earnings to be flushed down the crapper.
Why give parasites unlimited cookie durations and credit for sales where they divert our users and overwrite our cookies. PP merchants directly support what many consider unfair trade practices and thievery!

Now that CJ has tipped them how to word their incent offering rather then completely barring them and all nCase/180 Solutions look alikes, they can operate at will. Hell they can buy up 100 domains and launch 2 page clone sites with drive-by installs from porn pop-up hell holes and e-mail spamm script installs.
CJ care to comment why they don't Red flag all S/W download affiliates so AM's can easily recognize them. Second no S/W download affiliate can earn a dime till their BHO passes some stringent testing. I'm for a one stike your out policy.

This was particularily upsetting to me... I spoke to 18O Solutions when we discovered what they were doing in their very short lived shareasale stint. I spoke with them calmly about how software was not an accepted method of promotion on our network, etc... etc...
They show up ~3 months later with a different front/domain/etc... Probably not suprising to anyone... but thems the facts. http://abestweb.com/smilies/banghead.gif did they forget?

Basically http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif The policy is that since those commissions were earned while in violation of the CJ TOS, CJ revokes the commission by reversing the transactions. So now they redo their description and must be reviewed again by all merchants.
Akiva why don't you and the other like minded CJ AM's get together and DEMAND all BHO affiliates be identified upfront when applying to a program. It was that way in 1999-2000 requiring written approval for any incent/reward/surf to earn affiliate to join a merchants program.

These people thrive on deception, cheating and they don't care about what others say. They will keep trying and trying, instead of stopping they think up new ways to disguise and cheat...
