Based on investigations of recent member signups, their voting and viewing habits as well as thier lack of postings, I have decided to halt The Best of 2003 voting as I believe that there has been a "certain" level of ballot stuffing by certain parties who are in the running for the various awards.
This board will not "endorse", in any way, any misguided vote result and as such will re-run the vote under ABW V4.0 where we will have more safeguards inplace and add certain criteria for voting privileges to ensure a true result.
I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

TY Haiko! If you've noticed something unethical, then we should definately do a revote.
No problem here with that decision. Thanks for being so observant.

No problemo. I was hoping on write-in votes anyhow to carry the day. Never thought about bringing in stangers, as I get roasted by regulars without all the additional lurkers.

I did get so caught up in the voting frenzy that I actually voted more than once ina couple of categories. However, it wouldn't let me vote the second time. Good move Haiko.

Its disgraceful what some people will do to win the award, they be ashamed of themselves, they should also be banned from the voting process.

Haiko, any hint as to what vote had the stuffing? Was it one or all? To me, the best network vote looks the most suspicious since after you posted the original results, things changed drastically. Not saying for sure, but I did notice that.
Well, for the record, Akiva gets my vote for best AM of the year.... http://www.abestweb.com/smilies/thumbup2.gif

I guess this shows how powerful ABW has become
People must be thinking the seal of approval and the best of award is a very valuable promotional tool to help push their program
Or it may have been someones innocent method of really, really wanting to win badly enough that overcame their better judgement.

Well walleye warrior,
You may have a point and yet ...
I am seeing Jerry Srpinger behavior! How silly can someone be to stuff a ballot on this board.
http://www.abestweb.com/smilies/nono.gif Shame on you who ever you are!
I'll publicly state that although I was leading in 3 of the votes, I swear I was not involved in any stuffing. While the award(s) are definately welcome, to me the most important part is the oodles of cash everyone is earning http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Andy, thanks for your vote! (I voted for you last year http://abw.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif)
Akiva, I don't think anyone thought you did and for the record no you didn't. I'd rather not get into pointing fingers so I will not comment anymore on this issue.
