C4,
Is an ad for Hemp appropriate on a webmaster / affiliate discussion board? Please do not post anything of that nature again.

Sorry mate, won't happen again - oh, and it was not thought to be an ad, just a reflection of my peronality.
No offense - none taken

Haiko,
I didn't see whatever it was that you took out, but make sure you are not making the all-too-common mistake of confusing "hemp" with, um, something smokable.
Legal restrictions against hemp were passed in decades past by lawmakers who simply didn't understand botany, and the prejudice persists. Hemp is NOT the same as marijuana.
Hemp is a valuable agricultural crop in many areas of the world, especially for fiber, but also food (vegetable oil). Hemp is a sturdy plant that can flourish without "help" from weed-killers and insecticides, and because it's such a competitor it can considerably reduce the numbers of weeds on a field the following year. Anyone who cares about seeking ways to walk more lightly on our environment should be glad to see hemp taking a greater part in crop rotations for this reason alone.
I could go on ... I'm married to an agronomist, and the Department of Agriculture in Manitoba has several programs in place to assist farmers who want to produce hemp.
Just sounding off,

Buckworks;
Although we in Canada are used to seeing hemp in various forms because it is legal here, the U.S. government still considers it one and the same as the smokable brand.
Therefore, Haiko is correct to remove something from his U.S. based site that promotes hemp.

Kinda like the rest of their whole drug policy -- ever so firmly rooted in reality and current science.
But that's a whole 'nother discussion ...
