I suspect that Yahoo protects the images on its servers so that people can't link to them from other sites; Otherwise people would post all of their images on Yahoo and chew up the Yahoo bandwidth for their site. The easiest way to do this is with a .htaccess file. To post an image here, you need to post it in a place that allows the remote linking, the paste the url in link you did.
