Hello Affiliate Partner,

I really hate to post this but I have no choice. I have tried to be as professional as I can without posting negative comments but I have no tolerance when someone tries to BS me or intimidate me, a merchant I represent or affiliates friends and partners.

As I stated on 11-1-04, I continue to have problems communicating with you through the performics network.

Note:

This is a personal post and observation by me as an affiliate manager/consultant as I must keep you informed as an affiliate, but in no way does it reflect the feelings of shop4tech management. shop4tech is a great company and they have continuously supported my decisions and my recommendations and from day one they have been committed to staying with me and running a successful affiliate program.

Note:

I have sent prove of my emails and my claims to someone else, so that no one thinks I have made this up or have a personal gain for affiliates joining though another network or that I never liked performics and therefore making this up.

====

I have been getting un-cooperative results from performics and with the way performics tells me that they have a right to edit, prove read my emails that go to affiliates and changed links within my email going to my site, jrami.com at the bottom of my signature, etc. It is my right as a manager/consultant to be able to send you an affiliate newsletter or email as I see fit, without having the email changed or edited each time.

I have tried since the beginning to help performics as a consultant with many positive posts, and you would think as an affiliate management company and consultant that they would at least help me so that I can help them. Is it because I have suggested some changes to our program and they eventually want me to go away and run me out, so that I don't help my merchant client with suggestions and support you with the truth.

How can performics screen my emails and edit them to their favor. Now, I do not have a problem with screening my emails and holding them for 24 hours, but let's suppose I want to tell an affiliate that he/she has parasites or doing something wrong on their site, and that I will not allow you to be on my program because you are hurting other affiliates, and suppose I want to yell and curse them out (which I never use that kind of language, but just as an example), how can you tell me that you must edit my email and not say exactly what I want to express in my emails to you or other affiliates.

Sure I can decline any affiliate at any time with a push of a button, but if I want to send an email direct to you, to express my feelings and teach you or another affiliate beforehand, why must I be told I cannot have misspelled words or language in my email and that they must be held or corrected before they will send it.

====

On 11-1-04, I sent an email to performics after noticing that my prior email was edited and certain words changed and corrected and their email convention shop4techaffiliates @performics.com was included right along side affiliates @ shop4tech.com

I explained that only email to affiliates @shop4tech.com is necessary so that I do not miss any emails or affiliates get confused.

Their reply was that they added the performics email address because they want affiliates to be able to contact them as well when they have problems, so that they must add it back in. They end by saying again that any email that goes out, needs to have performics address on them.

I reply to them that that affiliates are having problems when communicating through performics and emails get lost to merchants. This is why affiliates are having problems with customer service and performics for past few years. Any email to affiliate/merchant merchant/affiliates should always be direct.

I tell them to please not add that email in my direct emails to affiliates or edit them. I understand it is procedure for performics but not used within the body of emails sent directly by me as I am the one that needs to communicate directly and all emails sent are of a personal relation and matter between me and affiliates. I ask them why it has taken 2 weeks trying to get my "Intro email" out to affiliates. I am the only one that will manage this program not performics.

During the month of December I sent out emails to affiliates outside of performics, but some of them bounced. I decide to give performics another try as I really want to communicate with you and all affiliates and not sure why so many emails were being returned.

On 1-05-05, I send an email to performics to send out to affiliates about Double Commissions being extended until 1-31-05.

On 1-11-05 I send another email to performics asking what happened to the email from last week, that it has been a week and the email has not gone out as I have not received one.

They reply and tell me the email had gone out on 1-7-05 and they forward me a copy of the email they say they sent. Upon receiving a copy of the email I notice again several words changed and added, but I leave as is as I am trying to just be patient.

On 11-17-05, I send performics an email to send to affiliates about "we are moving to a brand new building" As I was looking over the previous email sent on 1-5-05 that they forward me a copy on 1-7-05, I notice under my signature as I happen to hover over jrami.com that there was a hyperlink which replaced my website jrami.com with a hyperlink going to performics. I was never looking for this, as I was just passing by with my mouse and for a glance noticed the word performics in the task bar.

Being very mad at this, I send them a polite, professional email stating that I did not like the fact that my emails keep getting corrected or changed. That I want my emails sent out exactly as I have written them. I do not care if they have mistakes, errors or typos. I am the affiliate manager and consultant and I take full responsibility in anything I say or do in any email, etc. I tell them about my signature being changed with another link and to please, not let this happen again.

On 1-24-05, I send them an email requesting what happened to the email being sent on 1-17-05, as I have not receive one through the network. They reply with a copy of the email I wanted sent out on 1-17-05. This is after one week again, still no email has gone out, and only after I ask 11-24-05, do they reply.

They tell me that they have not sent it because they called me on the phone to discuss my emails and that I had not called their supervisor back to discuss this, that any email I send through them to send out to affiliates that they will "absolutely" correct. They also state that they took out the hyperlink out of jrami.com. I guess they admit it was a "mistake" I caught.

They tell me that the purpose of sending out emails to "our performics affiliates" is to increase accessibility to connect commerce and other performics tools. They tell me that because I have a link for affiliates to join shop4tech through shareasale directly under my shop4tech logo on my site, they believe this is a conflict of interest and therefore, even though they have left the jrami.com text in the email, they would take out actual link to the web page. They end the email stating this was "directive" from the client services director.

First, I just put the notice on my site about shop4tech now being on shareasale with the word "too" and when you click on more info, it lands on my page with both performics and shareasale links. Before any of these emails went out there was never any mention of shareasale and shop4tech at the same time on my site. So one thing has nothing to-do with the other.

Second, I do not need to speak with any supervisor, I am my own supervisor. This has been very frustrating as a manager and for affiliates that have had similar problems, now you can perhaps see why. If you read through my other posts within performics thread I have always kept positive and even tried to help them and to help affiliates understand their email conventions, etc. I even spoke to them back in October about them being more open on ABW and helping affiliates, till this day no response on this, and yet I have tried to help.

shop4tech and I want this program to be a success and I will support shop4tech 100%, so much so that we have spoken about a visit to shop4tech in the next few weeks, and I will do what ever it takes to help affiliates in this program, even work for free for 3 months, I don't care, but I will not let performics tell me how to run my business or have them advise my client behind my back for their personal gain because they have never had an affiliate consultant advising a merchant with the truth.

I still continue to ask for your support no matter what network we are on and that you prefer to join through, it's always your choice.

However, as of today I will no longer try to communicate with you or send you newsletters or emails through the performics network.

I will keep you updated here and only send you emails outside of performics or when you join though shareasale.
