I would like to announce the new Shopping Warehouse affiliate program on Commission Junction. We offer 8-10% affiliate commission, 120-day cookie tracking, phone tracking, and great prices on over 20,000 products on many different websites.
You can build your own online "store" around our product database and distribution capacity no matter what your interest. You can access the FREE Shopping Warehouse data feeds (updated daily) through our data feed page, or use our FREE Product Listing Creator.
And of course, we remain committed to providing a parasite-free affiliate program! Check out our affiliate information page at http://affiliates.shoppingwarehouse.net/
You can send traffic to any of our sites (not just Shopping Warehouse) and still receive commission. Our sites include:

Hi Steve,
I find your stores and products interesting, but I'd be willing to bet that any affiliate worth their salt would complain about the affiliate reference code not being closer to the 800 number. I believe I saw the affiliate code name, or reference at the bottom of the page... not sure that's gonna help as much as the affiliate code, etc being right by the number.
Though, I'd guess if an affiliate built their own store that they could put the phone number and their affiliate code together on their own site? That'd probably help, but they may get lost on your site after clicking the product link, and not know the affiliate's reference code/name. Do your 800 number operators instruct the buyer to look at, and give the code on the bottom of the page?
Anyways, just an opinion... and it's not just mine, I've seen several affiliates big and small complaining on this issue with retailers.
I may set up a few stores using your product creator, as I said your stores seem nice, and the product creator is rockin'!! All affiliate managers should strive to offer such scripts...
Thanks

MMH3,
Thank you for your feedback on our program. I am glad that you are finding our tools useful. If there are any other tools or improvements that you'd like to see, please let me know and I'll get them implemented.
With regards to our 1-800 number and the affiliate code - our phone operators have been instructed to ask each caller for the affiliate code before placing an order. The code is located at the bottom of our pages so as to not confuse website visitors, but still be easy to find when our phone operators ask for the code.
You are correct in your statement about affiliates building their own stores and placing our phone number on their site. They could simply put a message like "When calling, please mention affiliate code 123456." You get the idea.
Anyway, thanks for feedback!
-Steve

so call the affiliate ID "priority code" so the customer feels there is a benefit to using it . . .

Herb,
I have changed the messaging to read "Priority Code" instead of "Affiliate ID" on all of our sites.

Hey, I'm really flattered -- in discussions here and there we find some visitors don't seem to want us to make anything on _their_ purchase, so this will really help. If I haven't signed up already (checking later) I certainly will like quick.

Just wanted to post a followup and let you guys know about 2 new sites which should be very profitable for you. Any member of the Shopping Warehouse affiliate program can send traffic directly to these sites using the "Open Link" found in our advanced links.
These Vacuums Suck (http://www.thesevacuumssuck.com) - vacuum and floor cleaners by Miele, Eureka, Hoover, Dyson, Sanitaire, Panasonic, and more.
My Dream Mattress (http://www.mydreammattress.com) - high-quality memory foam mattresses and accessories. These are great mattresses made by a factory here in Louisiana. They use only the best materials yet still sell the mattresses at a reasonable price. Customters can save 1-2 grand over a Tempur-Pedic brand name mattress.

I'm interested in the mattress. But your site doesn't really give much info. Before I promote these, I need more info. Do you any consumer ratings? Thanks!

Well I'll take the time to apply to each program and use the PSC linking tools to build showcases. Nice attitude for an Affiliate manager to take concentrating on sales tools. Any GoldenCan exposure for the various sites on the horizon? You obviously share a common shopping cart for all your sites as I recommend to my merchnat clients.

Hi. We don't really have any consumer ratings for the mattresses, however, we do have some detailed info about the materials used and how the mattresses are made. You can find information here: http://www.mydreammattress.com/about-our-mattresses.php
You can also find out general information about memory foam here: http://www.mydreammattress.com/why-memory-foam.php
And finally, you can find out about our 20-year warranty and comfort guarantee: http://www.mydreammattress.com/warranty-guarantee.php
Feel free to use any of that info on your sites.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi. Yes, we do share the shopping cart among all sites, so affiliates would get credit for a sale on any site, regardless of which site they send traffic to. I'm not sure what you mean by "GoldenCan exposure".. can you explain?
Thanks,
Steve

www.Goldencan.com is all the explanation you'll need. Merchant's using it get affiliate pages that take a little extra work to permanently get some top billing. http://www.ecomcity.com/webworld/bikes.htm I'd rather have SuperGo on the top there then FogDog ...but this is the only way FogDog gets a chance to face my shoppers. If they convert ...they get exposure on other pages. I prefer to not send traffic to a merchant then to send untargeted traffic.

Hi Steve,
I took a look at your Product Listing Creator: it still uses the old "www.qksrv.net/click..." links. Rather than for everybody doing a search & replace on their own would you consider to update the link URLs? Or is there a reason to let the affiliate do this, maybe in order to keep the CJ links 'secret'?
Thanks, Frank

Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that we are now active with our affiliate program on ShareASale. We are setup with a data feed so you can use all of ShareASale's tools, such as FTP data feed access, "Make a Page", etc.
You can find the program as "Shopping Warehouse" and listed under Home & Garden. You can also use the following link to sign up.
I'm confused...are you moving to SAS or offering also at SAS?
Also, do you actually have in stock all the items in your stores or are you more of a drop ship type of company?
stevenm
February 7th, 2006, 11:10 AM
Hello,
I am sorry for the confusion. We have moved our program from CJ to SAS. We sent an email out to all of our affiliates on CJ about 2 weeks ago letting them know about this change.
About your other question - like most merchants, we stock some things and drop ship some things, depending on sales volume, seasonality, etc.

Ah, I remember now. You own the hyphenated version of one of my domain names (which uses no hyphens).
Thanks for the clarification. Does that mean that we can still send traffic to any of your sites (not just Shopping Warehouse) and still receive commission, as before?

February 7th, 2006, 11:20 AM
Yep, you can still send traffic to any of the sites. If you need links in SAS that aren't already there, be sure to let me know and I'll add them.

Can I have the feeds ftp'd to my server like CJ does? I've not used any of the SAS feeds but as I'm moving away from LS this might be a good time to start.

Well, I did not get any email announcing this. In fact I only realized that you pulled the plug at CJ when my 'clicks from invalid links' all of a sudden came up. This was followed by an announcement by CJ a couple of days later informing that you are out of CJ.
Needless to say, this sucks!
I have since signed up with a couple of competing merchants and am awaiting their datafeeds by middle of the week, which will wholly replace all of your links.
