I made two purchases of domain names in the last week.
Neither of them tracked. 2 Sales = ZERO COMMISSION..!
Test purchase made before links went up.
Links will not be placed on my sites.

I'm curious. I'm not following how you know that no commission was posted if you did not put up the links....is it an affiliation with godaddy.com or are your domains with godaddy.com?

scgifts - I clicked on one of my own links.. or copied and pasted an affiliate link into my browser address bar in order to be taken to GoDaddy.com under my own affiliate code.
Once I saw the sales did not track I decided NOT to put those links on my web pages..

Check your fine print under the Special Terms and Conditions:
Purchases made by Your employees or its principals do not count toward click count or acquisition count
This is the reason Godaddy doesn't make it onto my roster.

Ahhhhhhhh.... OK...
Good Reason To Give Them The BOOT...
If they do not allow test purchases to be made..
They won't be seen on my sites!
Although I do use them to purchase domain names..
they do run a good show for that...!

Whenever you do a test purchase to any merchant on any network, check the source code on the Thank You/Order Confirmation page to see if the tracking pixel is present.
If the pixel is there, it's not the merchant's fault.

Keep in mind that not all merchants or networks use tracking pixels. Some do batch processing. I believe that Linkshare does batch processing for all of their merchants, BeFree does batch processing for most merchants, and CJ does batch processing for some merchants. I don't know about GoDaddy.com in particular.

Same here. I used one of my affiliate links to purchase a domain name. There's no way they would be able to tell if I'm the one buying a name from my own link or not. And it didn't track. Therefore, they won't be making it onto the "Internet Services" portion of my website.

If you signed up with them they know your name and address info...
if you used a credit card with YOUR NAME they know it's you..
If you use a credit card with your business name they know it's you..
BUT in my ever so humble opinion..
Any merchant that does not allow legitimate test purchases won't see my pages..
I think this is a sign of a shady business..

Any merchant that does not allow legitimate test purchases won't see my pages...Same here. I'd love to add them, but, if I can't make a test purchase, no dice.

1. Action Referral Occurrences 1 time(s)
2. I think that godaddy pay only for new customer
3. Godaddy don't offer pay for renewal.

Godaddy only pays one time. Clicked on my own link.
GoDaddy.com $6.36 $31.80 1 0 1 8
But it should show 2 clicks, unless only one will show from the same person. I clicked once, was undecided and left, then later went back and clicked on my own link again and went through the purchase on an existing account, using the payment information they've got on record.

I just had a reversal from Godaddy - how can that be so? A domain purchase is permanent - you can't return it!

As a newbie, I'm just guessing ...... but wouldn't it be better to have a friend try the test purchase? That way you can circumvent the address/employee rules and truly check for a credit? Does anyone use this method or am I way out there with this idea? :Titanic:

I've made two purchases in the last couple of months. One was to transfer and extend the domain for my neighborhood assoc for 10 years. Sale posted and credited.
Yesterday, I bought 10 more domains and signed in with the same account that I used for the first purchase. That transaction posted within a few hours.
I've also asked for a domain search box that did not include any information about hosting since I was going to offer this as a part of my own domain hosting. The AM responded quickly and made the search boxes.

sorry took me long to answer. But if I recall correctly it posted the next day.
However today I purchased 2 domains and they have yet to show up.

I think godaddy is going to start losing business. They don't offer what is needed for basic site content, ie, older PHP info etc. And now to hear this? I think I will be staying clear of them in the future, for hosting as well as advertising. Thanks for the heads up, another reason why "our domain prices are so low."

I purchased a VPS through my own link and got credit immediately. Even used the same account that I use for my domain.
