I hope you would consider outsourcing the affiliate program management to some trusted (by affiliates) party.

Personal Creations itself has a great reputation in and of itself, and a great product line that is easy to promote. But, ummm, Linkshare?

If you had, say, AMSWO or somebody like that to manage your program, it would help to offset (from an affiliate's perspective) the stink from the Linkshare connection.
