Of the 182 million wireless subscribers in the United States, over 50 million of them will investigate changing carriers this year as their contracts expire, and all of them are looking to get the most out of their cell phone service at the minimum monthly cost.

"The MyRatePlan.com Guide to Buying a Cell Phone and Rate Plan" is a new eBook offering practical advice on a wide range of topics --- potentially saving the reader hundreds of dollars over the life of their contract.

For each sale, we'll pay you 40% of the guide's $6.95 price. To get things off to a fast start, we'll pay a $50 bonus to affiliates that sell 100 or more copies by July 31st, 2005. Cookie duration is one full year.

For more information on what is in the guide, visit: http://www.myrateplan.com/book_sales. This is also the landing page for our program, which we are running through Shareasale. To sign up for the program, visit:

We don't have a good understanding of this leak issue.... as our assumption (which I guess is wrong) is that once someone comes across via their link, it is tracked regardless of how they move around the site, including clicking other links to the book.

I am checking with Shareasale for some guidance in this area. If our assumption is wrong, we'll come up with a different solution (such as a walled-off page that just describes the ebook).

I think what the others are talking about is the wide variety of products and services that you offer. Affiliates (presumably) don't get compensated for any of that. If we send visitors to your site and they get distracted by the other options ("leakage") and use those other options instead of buying the eBook, we don't get anything.

Got it.... valid point. We're actually referral marketers for most of the other stuff on our site, while the book is our own proprietary content, so it is really the only thing we can compensate on.

We'll come up with a solution/page that exclusively focuses on the eBook, so that is is hopefully not an issue.

An isolated page (without "leaks" leading outside of it) would be a good solution. Better yet - a separate website (on a different domain).

We have created a new landing page and updated the links in the creative. The new landing page is http://www.myrateplan.com/eBook/. We have removed all links to other pages on our site, however we haven't put it on a new domain. Enough people have used/heard of our site over the years that I think the brand name will help sell the guide.
