It is with great pleasure that I announce that the GoodBulbs.com (http://www.goodbulbs.com) affiliate program, complete with feed, is now LIVE in ShareAsale!

Like the name suggests, BULBS are what's for sale at GoodBulbs. Tulip bulbs, for now. Daffodils and hyacinths should be on in a couple of weeks, along with some color-themed bulb packs. Closer to planting time, fertilizer and planting tools will be added as well.

You can sign up here: JOIN PROGRAM (http://www.shareasale.com/shareasale.cfm?merchantID=7833) Or, if you're already in ShareAsale, just go through the interface to find GoodBulbs.com.

Here's the quick specs:

COMMISSION: 10%, of course.
DATAFEED: Absolutely! It couldn't be MY program without a feed, now could it?! It's available through SAS. And yes, it's got categories--lots of 'em.
COOKIES: 120 Days
NETWORK: SAS
Auto Deposit: Yes
Parasites: NO

PPC Rule: Only one rule. You may not use "GoodBulbs.com" or variants thereof as the visible destination URL on any PPC engine, directory, etc.

The spin in the feed is different from that on my site. That is to help avoid duplicate-content filters.
The spin in the feed is also quite short. Sorry. Coming up with 18 different descriptions in a row caused a rare case of brevity.

SHIPPING is to the US only. Therefore, I only pay commissions on US orders. International affiliates are welcome, as long as the BUYERS are in the US.

"Are the bulbs REALLY hand-inspected like it says on the site?" YES! Quality is assured!

Are the bulbs the product that you were talking about in your "what to sell" thread? NO! That was the fertilizer.

SIGN UP NOW (http://www.shareasale.com/shareasale.cfm?merchantID=7833)

How do you contact me? Email, PM, or post at ABW. Email addy: "plantae *AT* goodbulbs.com". Put AFFILIATE somewhere in the subject line, please, so I know it's not spam.
Remember that I'm usually asleep during the day, so if you email/post/PM then, it'll usually be late at night before I see it.

LAUNCH BONUS OPPORTUNITY:

$10 BONUS to the first affiliate to make a sale!

Here's that signup link again: JOIN (http://www.shareasale.com/shareasale.cfm?merchantID=7833)

Well, that is really great news! Of course, I rarely plant flowers, so I'll have to fake the copy... I think I can find some place for 18 tulip products!

It shouldn't be hard to come up with some spin. After all, they're *all* beautiful :)

I haven't planted every single variety I have for sale, either. A lot of them are the ones I've seen for sale year-in and year-out (showing me that they're very popular types), but personally I like to plant the more unusual ones like Rembrandt and Kees Nelis. If you're wondering about any unusual kinds, just ask, if it's not a plain-jane I've probably tried it or have it growing right now :)

Hey Joe, I'm no expert bulbist, but I believe the bulbs get planted in fall hibernate in the really cold ground and hopefully sprout in spring. But listen, if this venture keeps leader so busy there's no time for ABW, then I hope there's a slow season! Gotta keep the Leader all riled up.

HEY LEADER!, what you going to do with the ones (bad bulbs) that don't past the muster?

You should know that I made sure that a little w*rk would go a long way before choosing a product line! :)

Unlike most products, all the shipping (the workful part) for bulbs happens during a couple of months, at planting time. So most of the year, it's just a matter of taking the orders. Then in the fall they start going out (exactly when depends on location of customer).

As for a slow season, I wish there wasn't, but people don't really think about planting when there's 2 feet of snow on the ground :(

BTW I really like that free fertilizer w/order idea. I'll have to do the math on it...

HEY LEADER!, what you going to do with the ones (bad bulbs) that don't past the muster?

Personally, I would chuck 'em on the compost pile, but I wouldn't be amazed if my mother insists on planting some of 'em in her garden *groan.*

For now I'm sticking with the fall bulbs, but after the high season for those, I'll decide what to do when it comes to the spring-planted ones... I can't really see any reason *not* to offer some spring-planted ones later, though...

thanks, I understand your wanting to specialize in fall bulbs... they are some of the best looking flowers (my favorites) and you sell them before Christmas... for all that extra Christmas cash...:D

Oh, now that's an idea. I already have Poopie's wind toys up (I love garden wind toys; even less w*rk than bulbs!) on some theme pages. I just got some good ideas for some niches, gotta go check keywords.

Not yet--I want to see which ones the buyers like best, or if customers write in asking for specific other kinds.
But I do intend to add daffs, hyacinths, and color-themed gardens! The color-themed gardens are a great deal.

Is there any specific tulip variety you're hoping for?

Ummm, Ones that plant and water themselfs will do the trick :cheerful: Better add ones that I can't kill in a few weeks time also :stars:

All kidding around congrats M and best wishes for your program. I still don't have a gardening site up, Yet but I'll see if I can find a site with a good fit for your program. Good Luck :)

You probably *haven't* truly "killed them" in a few weeks' time. :) That's about how long it takes them to go dormant for the year!

FAQlet:
If you don't cut/mow the leaves off at any time in the spring (ie, DO let them go completely yellow/brown), and don't accidentally mow 'em down the next spring, they should grow again.

If you're talking about the potted tulips, getting them to grow again is a bit trickier, but it can be done. I never throw those out when they go dormant (look totally dead). Rather, once they're dormant, I take them out of the pot, separate the bulbs (which usually have divided), and leave them to cure until fall. Then I plant them outside. Potted ones will skip the next season before blooming again, though. They need a "just-leaves" season to regain their strength after being in the awful conditions that places that sell them potted put them in.

Ones that plant and water themselfs will do the trick
Planting--I'm sure there's some college kid who could use the work ;)
Watering--that's what rain's for...in a place like NY State I would think it'd usually rain often enough. Here in MI, I occasionally need to water, but as long as there's a good rain at least once a week I can usually bypass that.

I'll see if I can find a site with a good fit for your program.
Whichever site that shows up in some SERPs will do

Seriously, hoping you'll find a place and sign up!

Thanks for the good advise Leader. You would think in NY rain wouldn't be a problem but this year has been a wierd one. Not a lot of rainy days and it's been hotter than any person should have to deal with.

Last year I think we had 1 day in the nineties and 2 the year before. This year it's something like 10 or 11 days in the 90's so far. I just moved the hanging plants (not tulips) to the shade. I probably should of done it a week or so ago. The leaves are all yellow now. Definately not from lack of water, maybe too much water ya think??? I couldn't even tell ya what kind of flowers they are other than red ones :cheerful: I only have a few tulips in the yard but their on the list. Anything that comes up yearly is going on the list.

Funny thing is that the vegetable garden is kicking butt but the flowers are struggling big time. I'm blaming it on the high 80's and 90's weather and not my lack of a green thumb :tsktsk:

As for the serps, they all still hate me :uhoh: :uhoh:
