Sweeeeet. We used to have a '67 that was a great ride.
That one looks like it is in good shape.
Is it a rag top? I can't tell from the photo.

Scooter: Yup, it's a rag top. Beautiful shape, less than 48,000 original miles. I'm lovin' it!

Wow.

I'm so jealous.

Except I want a racing green '65 with black interior and ragtop. Just like the one Dad had when I was a teenager. I get the sniffles just thinking about it.

Rhea:

This is exactly what I had always dreamed of - a red '65 Mustang convertible. She was persistent in her search apparently and wouldn't settle for anything but red because that's the color I had always talked about!

Don't wonder why, just know your honey has HOOKED YOU UP!!
Nice car. I am jealous too. I am sure you will be looking for reasons to take a ride, just like a teenager who just got his license. There will be no lack of milk, eggs or anything else needed from the corner store at your house I am sure :)
Happy Birthday by the way!!

Nice. My dads got a 1965 Olds Cutlass F-85 convertible and a couple of other classic cars. The Cutlass was restored and is more of a show car now. The other 2 are just for fun. I like that mustang :)

Sorry Philly, the green-eyed monster got the best of me and I forgot to wish you a happy birthday!

So now the big, BIG question is...

What the hell you gonna get your wife for her birthday? :D

Rhea: Not to worry, I'm well-versed in providing pleasant surprises for her! She has a "big" birthday coming up and I have a few good ideas in mind.

chetf: No, Catie was another expensive purchase, but I was in the know for that one! Thanks, though, for giving me an excuse to post this URL again!

I took Noah for a ride to get some wax for the car Sunday. He spend the ride looking to see who was looking at us! :)

that is, with little doubt, one of the best birthday gifts i have ever seen. You're a lucky man, Philly!!

TrustNo1:
awesome cutlass, i'd kill to have a a cutlass convertible. my mother inherited a 69 cutlass, blue with 350 shortblock, 30,000 miles... my great aunt owned it, never drove it, and gave it to my mother in passing. it doesn't compete with philly's gift, this was quite an inheritance! however, sold without my consultation, very unfortunately...

as for the 64 1/2 'stang, my Dad was actually a designer at Ford and worked on that model. he did the classic mustang lettering, interior dash, etc...

That's not a gift ....it's the most enjoyable investment she'll ever make. More valuable the longer you own it and cements the marriage as you'll never part with it.

"cements the marriage as you'll never part with it"

HAHA - Good one. Might want to submit this to a marriage counseling service. Makes as much sense as any other reason to stay married. ;-)

Sorry, but lifeless rocks just can't be as good as warm, inviting, and colorful flowers.

So I think a 100,000-bulb, field-sized garden from GoodBulbs would be a much better gift for her birthday ;)

What about a personalized nesting doll or a roly-poly doll? I believe, girls like dolls! :cheerful:

Sorry Leader, but boring old flowers can't possibly be as inviting and comforting as a football field cover. I mean, none of her friends will have one of these babies!

Errrr, that's a reach, isn't it..............

it it just me... or did a post about a "killer" B'day present and congrats.. for recieving that gift... wind.. around and down to a off topic post by an "man hater" to be followed a slue of pitches by Philly's friends to by his wife's B'day present from them...?

HOW about a football field cover for the yard held down with 100,000 flower pots of Tulips and daffs... on which you have a candle lite dinner at her new dinning room suite where you present her with a personalized nesting doll that contains a personally designed diamond ring and a second honeymoon in Atlantic City...

did I miss anyone???

BTW: you've got a keeper... treat her like the Queen she is and you'll always be her king....

congrats on the awesome killer B'day present...

You know, if I got a gift like that, it would be awfully hard to leave it alone. I might have to buy a laptop just so I could sit in it and work.....
