It is with pleasure that I announce that the NEW GoodBulbs Feed is now live in SAS!
What's New--Why you should bother updating:
Hyacinths! Hyacinths (http://www.goodbulbs.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4) are now in the feed. Great prices: $12.95/dozen! This is compared to some other online bulbsellers who want over $2 per bulb!
Daffodils (http://www.goodbulbs.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3) are in too. Another $12.95/dozen item.
The Color-Themed Flowering Bulb Packs are in the feed now. These have 75 bulbs each and have a regular price of $24.95. In each pack, are multiple varieties of color-themed bulbs. Good for new gardeners or those who just want all-in-one-box convenience. Check 'em out here: Garden Flowers by Color (http://www.goodbulbs.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1) (this is not a tracking link. Remember to go to SAS and get the trackable version to link to these!)
Prime bulb buying season starts to heat up in mid-August, so start your SEOing engines NOW so your pages are ranked when the Buyers start rolling in!

Thanks for the update...
I have two suggestions for future datafeed updates...
1>> could you use capitalizion of category names..i.e Tulips, Daffodils etc.. in Custom1
2>> could you state the number of bulbs a lot, in the description
while these are minor things easily correct because the feed is small... as you know as the feed grows.. these issues will becaome an annoyance...
thanks again for bringing this program to use... I'm looking forward to selling some bulbs...

I'll keep those suggestions in mind for the next update, thanks.
For now, the Custom5 field has how many bulbs there are per pack...hopefully you can work that in somehow.

One other thing, I should have some new banners by early-mid next week with more than tulips on 'em :)

Leader-
Great site. Can't wait to show my wife.
One comment, however. In the tulip and daffodil listings, you specify that there are twelve bulbs per unit. This is not listed with the hyacinths which makes them look like muy expensivo bulbs. Might want to fix that on the site.
Are you going to have narcissus and amarylis for the holidays?

Oops...I see it...that's what I get for typing in descriptions in the dawning hours before bed! I'll get those 12-per-unit notes into the hyacinth descriptions right away.
(@ Joe -- These are the on-site descriptions that need changing)
No plans for amaryllis as of yet, but in the fall I may put some in, depending on how much demand I expect for those.
RE the narcissus: Please be more specific. Do you mean paperwhites? Or are you referring to the mini-daff type ones? Or some other type?
Because for outdoor garden bulbs, daffodils and narcissus are technically the same thing. Some people use the terms interchangeably, while others seem to set their own definitions of what is what. Which makes it hard to tell exactly what's being referred to...
Dictionary.com says:
Daffodil: Any of various bulbous plants of the genus Narcissus, especially N. pseudonarcissus, having showy, usually yellow flowers with a trumpet-shaped central corona.
Narcissus: Any of several widely cultivated bulbous plants of the genus Narcissus, having long narrow leaves and usually white or yellow flowers characterized by a cup-shaped or trumpet-shaped central crown.
In any case, I'd have to do a bit of research to decide on any expansions of the current offering, when it comes to bulbs. But please do let me know which narcissi you mean. I'm taking note of all requests!
Speaking of product additions, in the fall, I'm going to add fertilizer and bulb planters. I'm not adding them right now because I want to keep all the shipping confined to the planting season. Plus it makes more sense, for me and for the customers, for people to buy those kinds of things along with their bulb orders.
Thanks.

I've now added the per-unit info to the onsite hyacinth descriptions. No more $12.95 single bulbs!

You know, as soon as my edit period ended, I thought "Doh! I'm gonna get nicked for that slip!" And I usually try to be the pedantic one. Yes, I meant paperwhites. December through February our house is swamped in forced bulbs.

Leader that sounds good. When I get a chance in a couple of weeks I will replace "you know what program" over at "you know where" with yours.

I'll consult my expert demand-prediction adviser... WordTracker ;) closer to December for those. Since we're on the subject, though--do you like the yellow forcing narcissus (Grand Soliel d'Or) too? Those are the little yellow ones commonly seen overcrowded into pots in stores...
