SnoreStop, the California anti-snoring remedy maker that paid Andrew Fischer $37,375 by way of eBay to advertise on his forehead with a temporary tattoo, is looking for another head, Media Life reports (http://www.medialifemagazine.com/News2005/jul05/jul25/2_tues/news3tuesday.html). So far, there isn't much interest. One problem - Fischer approached SnoreStop. This time, SnoreStop is looking for takers.
But SnoreStop says the hard work of finding a forehead is worth it. For the month that Fischer wore the words, SnoreStop won media attention around the world and generated a half-million dollars worth of free publicity. In the first week, sales on its web site increased 400 percent. For the next five months, retail sales increased 50 percent over the year before.
