Geno, it would be nice to have ready-made text links to grab for popular categories, especially for the items that should be big sellers for the Holidays.

As in: in addition to the banners?

banners?
people still use those? They do with some (depending), I've had some nice sales from people clicking on banners.

As in: in addition to the banners?Sure thing in addition to! Banners are attractive for the pages and add flavor and appeal (and I do use them) but text links can be worked in better, and they let visitors know exactly what they're clicking for.

Main categories would be fine, as long as sub-categories are easily visible.

Added:

See, like here there are Session ID's for the Christmas shop

If some links are already made up, it's faster to just grab them and put them up. And then if we have one done up already (like ornaments, for example) we can more easily emulate them for other sub-categories if we want to.

No problem, Rexanne. If you think it'd be good to have text links for all divisions and sub-divisions of our store (sub-divisions being groups of same type products), just let me know and we'll have 'em up within the same business day.

Thanks,

Geno

Geno, are the Christmas brooches hand painted? Is EVERYTHING on R. L. hand carved and/or hand painted?

Yes, Rexanne (except for calendars, T-shirts and similar products)! Not only hand carved and hand painted, but all done by Russian artisans and imported from Russia.

Me too. I was looking for this information on the brooches and eggs but it wasn't apparent that they were hand painted or hand crafted. It is mentioned on the nesting doll pages, I think. It is a valuable selling point. Good call Marcia!

I promise you (webworker & Rexanne ) that with new descriptions added (there are still approx. 1200 descriptions to be added - to painted mice, decorative eggs, porcelain dolls, etc) we will add text stressing the hand-making part. I'll keep you posted on the addition of new descriptions. The last feed (http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=62325) contained new descriptions of all bottle holders (also hand-turned and handpainted) and glass holders.

Thank you for your continuous support!
