Has anyone consulted as an affiliate marketing manager to bring a program up to speed? What type of compensation were you provided?
Did you work remote? Were you provided any resources?
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Welcome to ABW!

I haven't, but I believe most consultants of this type (you may find quite a few around this board) will provide you with the preliminary information (on projected results, costs, resources, etc) free of charge. Contact them directly!

Welcome Newbie!

Simple question, coplicated answer....

Before you get to $ you probably need to find out about the company. Do they have the resources to take things to the next level... Do they have a budget? Or are they just thinking "well they have an affiliate program, then we should too". That mentality would make me turn and head for the hills..

If they are serious about it, then put together a budget of your own. What is your hourly fee/wage? how many hours will you dedicate? then multiply by 4 or 5, because that's what it will take for you to get started..

Then, get the bulk of that $ up front.. you will see then if they are serious about taking things to the next level.

Hope this gets the wheels turning anyway..

again, Welcome!!

As I am a newbie, please ignore my lack of knowledge, but where would I find other consultants to inquire about their experiences???

Would you know where in the forum I could find these folks...not those working full time at companies, but those that are more like outsourced. I want to understand better what responsibilities they took on and which they handled themselves. Also I would be interested in the type of proposal they put together and of cours how they were compensated.

In June, I met a young man in London who wanted to learn creative SEO.

When I asked him what his budget was, he replied "5 Days at £2500 a day"

I put him in touch with Mr. Right for one on one education.

So my question to you is "what is your budget for real AM education?
