Hello all,

I'd really appreciate any feedback on our affiliate program.
Any advice or suggestion will be taken seriously. I'm new in this field and still learning.

Many thanks,
-Nancy

Hmmmm.

As soon as I see the "C" word that ends in "galore", I have no inclination to even click through to view the details of your program.

If the case were otherwise, I would probably sign up and have your links up on several existing sites before the sun comes up.

I think you would find that many productive affiliates who would otherwise be interested in your program will simply turn away the second they see the "C" word.

But don't take my word for it; I may be a bitter crank with a minority opinion. Do a poll and see how many other affiliates have no desire to work with "C" programs.

Dear "Chocolate Chicken" :-)

Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm not sure if I really got your point, what do you exactly mean by the "C"? Are you saying that the company managing our affiliate program discourages affiliates to join? If so, why would this be the case?
What actions Muna Jewelry can take to attract affiliates like you to join?

Best regards,
-Nancy

Let's just say that Clixgalore is not very popular around here. ;)

I would check out http://www.shareasale.com I don't put up any merchants thru Clixgalore either. Heard too many bad things about them.

If you put your program at SAS you will probably find all of the affiliates that you need.

We trust SAS.

We know that each month we will be paid the money that is owed to us.

It will not be paid to us one month late, six months late, a year late or never if you use SAS.

SAS pays us what we are owed every month - and on time too.

hmmm thanks all for the feedback.
I hope these are honest inputs and not just because you are trying to promote other affiliate management solutions :-)
I've not heard any complaints so far from our affiliates who are going through clixgalore. But any way, we will seriously consider offering our affiliate program through other partners if this would encourage you to join.
If I'm not asking too much, if you would provide a list of top three affiliate management programs what would these be? Just so we can evaluate different options and pick the one that works for us the best.

-Nancy

Nancy;
its true that SAS is a great network but burger boy states,

"If you put your program at SAS you will probably find all of the affiliates that you need."

Don't count on it. I run an Celtic Jewelry site and the affiliates at SAS are no where near enough for me. It takes hard work and loads of prospecting.

Make sure you have good prices, treat your affiliates fair and offer good commissions and bonus's occasionally.

Nancy, welcome to ABW! welcome: Great thing you've started advertising here!

It'll be hard to compete with other jewelry affiliate programs around here (as they are quite established), but you sell some very nice items at your website. Best of luck to you with your affiliate program!!

I hope these are honest inputs and not just because you are trying to promote other affiliate management solutions :-)

What you see above are comments from your prospective affiliates (not people promoting "other affiliate management solutions"). I would consider them seriously.

Good luck again!

Geno,
Thank you so much for the feedback and appreciate the fact you spent few moments to look at our products. I'll be taking the feedback here seriously and soon we will take some actions to improve things.
I know it will be a tough competition, but as you probably noticed on our web site we do actually offer a product line that is exclusively unique and cannot be matched by any other jeweler across the states. We are hoping that the uniqueness of our products and competitive pricing will attract more affiliates who will believe in our success on the long run for sure.

Another note is that the only reason we went with clixgalore was that we found they offer a simple a low overhead solution. We are open to consider other partners of course and we will do soon.

Best regards Geno and all,
-Nancy

Richard,

Appreciate the input and advice. I knew that each affiliate management company will have its own friends and enemies. As you implied, we are intersted to find the partner that would give access to the maximum number of affiliates interested in jewelry business.

Good luck for your business,
-Nancy

Nancy,

HINT: I think you can do it simultaneously at Clixgalore and SaS together...

Hi Nancy Nuna,

I'm another vote for Shareasale and not Clicks...

It also takes a great deal of enthusiasm and affiliate support to get a new program going, especially in jewelry because there is so much competition.

But follow Geno's lead. His sincere enthusiasm along with terrific affiliate support tools, lead me to put up nearly 100 pages of his product in two days. (and I don't do data feeds...yet)

Best wishes,

JazzTimes

Clixgalore doen't strike me as a reputable company, so I am not likely to click on your link.
I only promote merchants from CJ, due to many reasons.

JazzTimes, thank you for your support!

Continuous affiliate support is what keeps us (AMs) going. You, guys (and, or course, gals) are great!

Alright... Sorry for nearly hijacking this thread, Nancy. :sorry: After all what's been said above, I'd give SaS a try. ;)

How deep are your pockets?

If your looking for maximun number of affiliates that will join thru the network NOT you going out an getting them then your best paying high money and going with LS.

SAS is ther best for the price but like I said you need to do loads of work on your own.

You will not get enough high quality affiliates nor sales only thru the network affiliates.

Trust me on this one.

When I was new I started using Clix. It was almost impossible to get links, the merchants fell off and on - I could never get a report that told me what was going on.
The interface was hard to use and I was too new to know what to ask.

I joined and use many other networks - SAS, Linkshare, CJ, Befree, Performics. I was slow to join SAS and now I'm sorry for it. After I discovered this forum and learned so much about how to do it right, I joined SAS. I'm not exclusive with them yet, but each time I add a merchant to replace one elsewhere, one more tie to the others is gone. I'm not one to put all my eggs in one basket and probably never will, but when the others say you can "trust" SAS, it's true. Bad news is just as quickly relayed as good, promises are kept, problems are solved and I make money.

If you can afford to do more than one network, put them in the mix and see what happens.

Thanks all again for the advice and feedback. I've been doing some homework to determine next steps.
When it comes to budget, we do have enough budget to cover multiple affiliate networks. But since I've been assigned this job I want to make sure I spend the money on the right deals.
So, it looks we will go with SAS and I will announce this here soon, thanks for your advice.
Also I'm considering LS and doing some research on them based on Richard advice.

Many thanks all and have a great weekend.

Hello friends,

Does any one know why SAS is not a member with BBB?
Do you know if they are evaluated by any reputable third party non-profit organization?

Many thanks,
-Nancy

Right choice, Nancy! ;)

Question to Brian (president of SaS) to be asked here: http://forum.abestweb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=65

don't know if you have explicit permission of bluenile and mondera but it seems that quite a few of your wedding ring pictures are 'very very' similar to theirs.

Don't wedding rings (and engagement rings, for that matter, too) generally tend to look "very very similar" one to another? :)

Geno

"Very Very similar" as in Exactly the same.. as in.. actually copying the pictures.
