As an Affiliate Manager for Share Results I have some very exciting news... and in more ways than one!

First, we have launched the Library of Life (http://www.libraryoflife.org/) Affiliate Program at Share Results - a non-profit organization established for the everlasting maintenance and preservation of all Library of Life sites, which lets you share your memories and record them online forever.

Library of Life is divided into two main sites: Celebration-Of.com and Memory-Of.com - each site allows you to commemorate those special people in your life whether it be the birth of a newborn or the death of a loved one, online forever for a minimal one-time fee.

The second reason why I am so excited about this launch is that I am very happy to announce that in six months I will be celebrating the birth of my very first baby! And I couldn't think of a better match than to be the AM with Library of Life, since Celebration-Of is an excellent site to share in your excitement with your family and friends and other members!

I could go on and on and on.... but I'll round this post out to let you know about the affiliate commissions & special offers & such:

As a special introductory offer ending December 31, 2005, affiliates joining the program and promoting Celebration-Of.com or Memory-Of.com prominently through banner ads, text links and related marketing efforts receive a free website.

Affiliated webmasters earn a monthly base rate 15% commission on all sales tracked through their affiliate links, increased to 20% if they deliver between $1,000 and $2,499 in sales revenue, and further boosted to 25% for sales revenue of $2,500 or above in a month.

To sign-up as an affiliate to Library of Life, just login to your Share Results affiliate account, or visit us here: http://www.shareresults.com/local_affiliate_desc.php?mid=1811 and please feel free to contact us with your questions at libraryoflife@shareresults.com

Have a great weekend and stay tuned for more great details next week!

I was poking around, and the Library of Life site sends you straight off to the Memory-of.com site for making memorial sites. Does the cookie follow? Or does one send clicks directly to the appropriate sub-site?

The oldest whois record is only a year old. I am concerned about the business model. Back in the days when free hosting was dying, one company tried a one-off payment model. The idea was really to upsell domain regs, but within a couple of years the whole company fell apart and any domains hosted with them were difficult to recover.

One-off payment for a lifetime seems too good to be true. How else is the company bringing in revenue?

I would hesitate to send someone to build a memorial site that they expect to be there for their lifetime only to have it disappear in a few years. I'd love to hear that this scenario has been whittled down to nil.

Hi Webmarm,

Many thanks for writing in with your questions, I'll do my best to answer them all concisely.

Our tracking systems manages it so that the cookie follows any travels between Memory-Of.com, LibraryofLife.org and Celebration-Of.com - that way you still benefit from your customer regardless of which site they end up going to.

However I am a bit confused by your statement that LOL site sends you directly to Memory-Of.com, could you expand on this a bit?

The Library of Life has undergone rigorous legal and financial review by a number of third parties to date. For example, the Library of Life has a 5 year Cause Related Marketing Agreement with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The website and all content posted to the site is held in trust by the Library of Life Trust, a not-for-profit organization established for the perpetual maintenance of the Library of Life. The Patron of the Trust is His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent. The Trust also raises funds for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

If you would like further details, please don't hesitate to send me an email at libraryoflife@shareresults.com or a private message in the forum.

Just meant that from the home page of LOL, to make a memorial site, one is told to visit M-O.com. In other words, next click is away from LOL. That's all I meant.

Okay, getting a fuller picture. Thanks for the reply.
