Ok, so I'm like ummmm, 15mins from Milw.. Where did you go that you liked?? I've heard Organ Pipers is pretty good but otherwise I just hit holes in the wall. They seem to be the best places.. Best Pizza I ever had was actually in Croatia in a town called Pula. Piping Hot and straight from a stone oven.... Yummy! Best Lasagne I ever had was there too... :D webworker November 24th, 2005, 12:04 AM The first time I ever tried to make homemade pizza, the balls of dough that you stretch out for crust turned hard as rocks in a few minutes. You could break windows with them. Two of the things that distinguish the real stuff from New York are that they use olive oil on it, and have cornmeal spread out on bottom. Sami, just about any restaurant that offers calamari and scungilli (insalata and en casserole) on their menu is worth trying for being the authentic Italian article. For Southern California, Monte Carlo in Burbank is a good choice, there are lots of paisans around there who work in the studios.
