For this week 7/21 -7/27 we are running a free shipping on orders of $59 or more on Fogdog.com (see site for details).
This post has two purposes. The first is to inform you of the promotion and the second is to ask for your opinion.
We often run various free shipping deals on Fogdog. Do you feel that this would be beneficial for an affiliate relationship? If so what level of free shipping do you see as ideal? Our usual free shipping level is at $99 so this is a great deal.
As usual all constructive criticism is welcome.
Thank you,
Mike

I'm glad to see some sort of promotion come out. Due to your company's previous behavior, I had planned on pulling Fogdog off of my site, but I've been lazy, so it's still there. I'll give this a shot and see if it earns any money for me.
Free shipping is great, but "Dollar-Off" coupons always rule the roost on coupon sites, as far as I'm concerned.

Free Shipping in general is good. But I don't consider Free shipping on $99+ much of a promotion. I would say it starts being a promtion when it's free shipping on $50 or lower.
Thanks for all the other coupons. keep 'em comming.

John.....
Very simple response to your post:
We have a different business model then your company and our margins do differ. Due to these differences our shipping policies may be different.
Below is a quote from your AM Bryan taken from a post in the GSI forum.
"I don't know what the margins are like on golf balls and baseball bats. Our program terms work for the high value products we sell so that's where we've set them"

Mike,
welcome to ABW...your business will prosper. But sometimes it does get hot in the kitchen.
Please feel free to drop me a line if you ever want to chat about business. There are many areas where we compete, but I am a big believer in co-opetition and believe we can also help each other.
