Tweeter.com offers mid- to high-end products, while most other national chains with an online presence offer low- to mid-end products. Tweeter.com carries top-notch home audio and video equipment. They also offer an assortment of portable and audio equipment.
Please take a few minutes to check out Tweeter.com to see what they have to offer.
I feel that Tweeter.com’s affiliate program has a lot to offer due to their competitive commission rate of 3-5% and the high quality products that they offer.
Tweeter.com does work with Ebates. However, Tweeter.com is not associated with any other affiliates that are labeled as parasitic. SAHS has recently been removed from the Tweeter affiliate program.
My question to you is:
What would need to change with the Tweeter.com affiliate program for you to be excited about promoting Tweeter.com along side of its competitors. (Or even better, ahead of its competitors)
As usual all constructive criticism is welcome.

The biggest factor in promoting them for me is probably the inability to link to individual products. By far, the vast majority of my electronics sales come from product links.
I have tried promoting Tweeter in the past but never made a sale. It's too bad, because they've got some nice products.

Paul,
thank you for the comment. I recognize the lack of product links as a major issue. As I had mentioned in a prior post we will be making data feeds and product links available in the near future. I will make sure to post to the board when they become available.

First - drop ebates.
Second - I need an external datafeed (not via CJ) or I won't touch it.

First and foremost, the Tweeter program would have to be under a different management for me to join unless the GSI sports programs start to show improvement.

You'd best work on some real nice pre-sell showcases and individual product links landing on only the discounted products. Tweeter is trying online to sell at full retail markup with the normal full priced retailer spiffs like a 500.00 special discount on some 10,000 Plasma TV sets. Had to laugh you'd want me to convience my savvy shoppers to pay 9999.00 for this Panasonic 50" plasma TV when 20 other online retailers are selling it for as little as 6470.00. One of my best customers bought one even though I was pushing him on a Viewsonic 50" for 6900.00
DRM's might be nice but no affiliate would be advised to take on the pre-sell effort to push a 10K TV for 300.00 commission. It would waste 2000 clicks to find a sucker for that deal. These guys need to know like Walmart that they aren't using affiliate targeted traffic to drive folks to their stores. When Tweeter shows up on the comparision shopping engines or even the wanks at Dealtime then they might have their pricing right.

Shore and Jimbo...... I am here representing GSI to get ideas and opinions on how GSI can improve the Tweeter program. Comments like yours do me no good. You say that we need to start showing improvement. I ask that you keep an open mind and give myself and GSI a chance.
Thank You
