Position: Associate Manager, Affiliates
Peerflix is an early stage, venture backed, consumer Internet company (www.Peerflix.com (http://www.Peerflix.com)). We offer a trading platform for physical media. Currently, the Peerflix service lets members easily trade DVDs that they own and no longer want for the DVDs they really want to watch. Founded in 2004, the company has experienced rapid growth and received extensive coverage in several leading media outlets such as BusinessWeek, Fortune, USA Today, San Jose Mercury News, LA Times, PC Magazine, InformationWeek, NBC, and ABC. We are growing our marketing team and are looking for an entrepreneurial, multi-talented Associate Affiliate Manager.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of the online marketing team, the Associate Manager, Affiliates will be responsible for maximizing new customer acquisition for Peerflix through the affiliate channel. Specifically, s/he is responsible for servicing, optimizing and growing our current affiliate network partner relationships as follows:
Affiliate recruitment:
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and recruit new affiliates and affiliate marketing partnerships
• Respond to partnership inquiries for the affiliate channel
• Source and close new Affiliate deals
• Evangelize and educate new affiliates on Peerflix services
• Negotiate terms and launch new affiliate relationships
Account management:
• Manage the day-to-day relationship, communication, and customer support for affiliates
• Manage new affiliate and campaign launches, coordinating internal and external resources to ensure that timelines are met
• Communicate new offers and promotions and ensure affiliate support for them
• Closely monitor trends by affiliate to spot and correct any fraudulent activity
• Push for appropriate placement and promotions within partner’s marketing activities
• Motivate affiliates to perform to maximum capabilities and grow their contributions to the program
• Develop systems to ensure affiliates’ compliance with contractual requirements
Channel management:
• Manage relationship with third-party affiliate program
• Evaluate new affiliate technologies and third-party providers, as needed
• Oversee budget for affiliate channel
• Forecast quarterly and annual levels of Affiliate activity
Desired Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of online marketing experience for a consumer-oriented Internet company
• Experience running an affiliate program and recruiting affiliates
• Experience working with CJ and Linkshare.
• Familiarity with customer service function and protocols
• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical skills;
• Passion for start-up, fast-changing, and dynamic industry environments;
• Entrepreneurial, high energy, and flexible - ability to multi-task, roll up sleeves, jump in, and meet aggressive deadlines under pressure with limited time and resources;
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills;
• BS/BA required.
