Hello Everyone,

We offer one of the most utilized (but under-provided) Affiliate marketing tools through our Free Tool Center. Everyone knows that deep linking on the merchant site is key to higher conversions, so we've created a simple Custom Link Builder where you can build tracking links to ANY page on the merchant's site in seconds.

The process is incredibly simple:


Login to your Affiliate account and click 'Tools'
Under Banner/Text Links click 'Create a custom link'
Choose the merchant and website you would like to create the custom link for and select 'Next'.
Paste the URL of the merchant page you would like the link to land on.
Select 'Get HTML'


There's even an option that allows you to enter a unique tracking id or name to identify the link in reports.

So there you have it! In fact I didn't need to spell this out. Once in the interface you would have no problem going through these steps.

I wanted to bump this thread to remind everyone about the Custom Link Builder tool in AvantLink.. we've gotten great feedback about the simplistic nature of providing a flexible deep-linking tool for our Affiliates. Despite it's simplicity, it is a very powerful tool.

It's a matter of simply cutting-n-pasting the merchant's URL (where you want to land users) into this tool's interface...add your unique tracking ID and then generate the HTML. The link will be encoded with your Affiliate ID and your unique tracking.

Thanks for dropping in. Yeah the Custom Link Builder is a really basic yet powerful deep-linking tool that allows Affiliates to customize their tracking links to any page on the merchant's site.

As far as datafeeds.. check out the WebMerge forum here on ABW for a solution to publishing a raw datafeed to your site..

Check out our Web Service Datafeed Client (http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=69468)...this client is easy to install and highly customizable to your site. It outputs simple HTML (spiderable content), allows you to select specific categories, sub-categories or product groups and the best part...it's dynamic (always up-to-date pricing and inventory). Once installed and customized just put a link to the client from your navigation and continue adding related (and unique) content around the catalog to build your site as an authority. Here's a great example (http://www.hometips.com/tk/index.html) of this tool in action.

We also have a simple JavaScript plug-n-play datafeed option however we don't encourage the use of it as there's no way for the SEs to read and index the content.
